I have the moonlight white and it does overheat the fan makes annoying noises, i really love the webcam on it but in general its great for little things.

ive had this laptop since october 2009 (not a long time) and now it wont really turn on i guess. and its not like i use it to download pron or anything i just use it for my itunes and minor photoshop & social networking ect.

@Elba951 Yeah... laptops usually do this... i recommend to u get an external cooler/cooler table, don't blame the Pavilion for overheat.

Overheating can be solved with BIOS upgrade; my laptop used to make a lot of noise blowing fans during the start and often during operation, this changed after bios upgrade.

However, I not happy at all because the network card on my dv3t died after 6 months, renderig it useless. I'm not the only one, judging by the giggles from the customer service.

@LuciusBalian yeah i agreed on that...even with extenal cooler still overheating is a main problem of this dv300 series.not good for gamers.

I just bought this laptop recently and am very disappointed with its performance. Very annoying! First it was the Power button, second was Hard disk, third was Heatsink fan and now its LCD Screen vertical lines...hate this make! will never suggest anybody to buy such a crap!!!!

What I just noticed, hoping this is the real thing is the 'suck-in' DVD drive (0:26), if that's true and is not the DVD tray..... I WANT ONE!!! (I hate DVD trays, its so last year :p)

Plus does anyone know if this model has the backlit keyboard?

Just bought one, unfortunatly they still have DVD trays in sweden, and the white one i just bought is more white plastic, not silverwhite ore moon or what ever. The screen is great, perfect format, the computer response ok, Experienceindex 4.1.

No, no problems with heat and the fan is not loud. I guess its because of the Intelprocessor.

I just ordered one of these. The allowed customization of these notebooks are incredible. You can get far more options and power for a better price than any 13 to 14 inch on Dells website. Nothing against Dell, I love the look of their notebooks and I think they are a great company as well its just nothing can really beat the deals that HP has on notebooks, IMO.

I think this is actually the dv2. I'm getting the dv3 and this isn't it.

This is the dv3, but there are two version the dv3z which is the one with the amd processor and bronze magnesium case.The other one is the dv3t (the one on this video) which has an intel processor and plastic case either black or white hope that helped
