i think it's just personal preference, brian and carmen seem to be pretty traditional, while michael and beata, then, were very out of the box, different influences i suppose when it comes to showdance. I like both styles, but i must say, while this performance is very good, i somehow prefer allan tornsberg and serena leccadanza's version.
what does it have to do with me being able to do this too?? no, I cannot do this. But I am comparing them to other dancers. and the difference is huge.
instead of attacking my opinion, compare them to Beata and Michael Wentink, to their paso doble. It is more fun to watch Beata, she is so gorgeous. Open your mind just a little bit and see there are other dancers in the world.
Your argument is STUPID. I have seen Michael Wentink and Beata, and they are great, but the guy here (Bryan) is MORE MANLY than Michael Wentink. And Michael and Beata's "paso doble", at least the one that I saw, was not REALly what a paso doble is supposed to be, i.e. I did not get the "matador and cape" feeling when I saw them. Nowadays a lot of couples are doing paso doble like that, and I think they should call it "ballroom paso doble" instead of "paso doble".
I must agree with you, the Paso of C&B has a much higher standard than the one of M&B. No offence to them, they are great dancers, but Carmen and Bryans performance is just "slightly" better. Bryans posture is indeed manlier than Michaels; his actions are more direct, as it should be. He takes great notice of the position of his upper body and his expressions. As does Carmen! They really show the passion, and this isn't as strong in M&Bs Paso.
How can this Bryan guy be more manly?? What do you mean by that? The fact that Mike is more flexible and can more faster doesn't make him less manlier..
I agree, but it is not just that. It seems that Mike and Beata work harder on their dances, use more different moves, which need more skills to be able to perform. I am not being biased, I watched lots of ballroom dancers, and so far find Mike and Beata perform better. That's all. Not trying to persuade anyone, just stating my opinion. wrong audience, obviously.
i love this music-for me absolutely outstanding choice!!and the dancing is great but actually the years after they improoved more in this coreographie!i like their paso-its so clean and clear!

I can see in his dancing why he is ranked #1 but her....I don't see it at all. Without his she's ordinary. She has no pizazz when she dances...just ordinary. To me..Karina is the number one female.
Pasodoble is not his best :). It was nice for show, but very poor for tournament dancing. All Bryan strengths in other dances are his weaknesses in this one.
Вообще в ритм музыки не попадают я сначала подумала что эта музыка была наложена на танец а танцевали они под другую,но нет .Мне не понравилось.

Skewz, the first music is Sergei Prokofiev's "Dance of the Knights" aka "Montagues and Capulets" from his Romeo and Juliet ballet.

Someone being gorgeous is not what dancing is about. Its the capturing of the dance and connecting the emotion
