These happenings are minority instances, nothing to be put off of meat by in my opinion. This video is sick and I agree with most of the comments here that these people deserve a longer sentence, however a majority of dairy farm have great standards, many of which I've seen myself. The slaughter of animals we regularly eat is human, the animals are stunned so they're rendered unable to experience trauma and pain. It's just sick bastards like these that ruin it for everybody.

I actually may never drink milk again. Separating the calves at a few days old just to get the mothers milk is actually inhumane too.

Meat wise, everything has to die (humanely of course), but I think only answer is not to buy cheap cheap meat. Then farmers will take more care of their animals as they will be worth more. Animals should be treated with same care as humans. Jesus christ.

i have some friends that own a large dairy farm and if they find out that you are abusing their cows they will have you arrested and charged themselves. when i was growing up we had a dairy farm. The worst thing any body did was have to put a bull down with a gun because it attacked my dad and almost killed him. if you attempted to get into the pen he would charge you. it was decided to put him down to protect everyone that handled the cows that were in the pen with him.
