With that you'll be able to play a lot of modern games, since they offload to GPU more than older games.

I suppose it should work with CS1.6, but you won't get full performance from it. Some detail and other visual settings will need to be dropped down in order to get acceptable frame rate and play quality. For a simple desktop replacement which relies on mostly 2D and some 3D (YouTube, some other web browsing, office applications etc), the Eee Box will work great.

I think it would run 1.6 no problem... It's CSS that I doubt would get a stable framerate no matter which way you slice it.

Goldsrc is an old engine, after all.

dude if its CS 1.6 then it will work flawlessly at max settings. even a shit pc can run the old HL engine. :)

If you mean 3D gaming, yes... maybe you can do some older level games or such, but the built-in graphics components are better used for 2D office, gaming or online apps (Flash and such).

As a gaming replacement box, it won't work. As a desktop (office/surfing) box, its an excellent alternative.
