Problem is simple. Everybody needs to stop being self-conscious.

Stop paying attention to what you are doing. Completely. Then you can tell the truth.

Not bad but in italian "Il peggior gruppo della storia" (the worst band.....) sounds better: it gives more an idea of absoluteness and incomparability ; )

Our message is mainly addressed to the other bands in our town who often boast about being the best in the world: we're well aware of our limits.
