Excellent, Kevin! I'm in District 1 myself. I'd heard of the books but didn't get to reading them until I read the first two in my Teen Lit course last semester and then I read the third one over winter break with my girlfriend. I'm very interested to see how the movie turns out. I know that Hailee Steinfeld (Mattie from the Coens version of 'True Grit') is in the running for Katniss and I'd love to see her in the role.

Lionsgate does great with movies. I haven't been disappointed with one I've seen yet! I've not only heard of The Hunger Games, but I've been part of a voiceover series here on YT by @PumpkinsAtTheDisco. In it, I've played Haymitch and Cato. Haymitch has been my main character, and it's pretty fun to play a fall-down drunk who actually knows what he's talking about.

Nalts you should check out the movie "Battle Royale" its a Japanese movie in which school aged kids have to kill each other in an arena type setting. Sounds very simmilar.

There is only one rule. If you stop for more than like ten seconds, you get shot dead. The last person walking wins the prize of getting pretty much anything they want for the rest of their life

I recently bought all three books for my ereader. I started the first book at around 10pm one night and I couldn't put it down until I finished. Needless to say, I definitely didn't get any sleep that night. SO GOOD. I just started the second one but I can't just sit around reading it all day. =[ I have classes and whatnot.

sounds like a rip off of rome haha dunno and im District 3 and twilight is gay nothing happens then the werewolf dud gets the hots for belle's baby and then in the last one she has to get turned into a vampire to survive the birthing process because when she does it rips her stomach open and spine n gets torn apart then heals and the 4th one is a repeat from the first book but from Edwards prospective

@unclenalts yeah sounds like there's more going on and more action and things to keep your attention kind of like the Parthenon, but with teens and other surprises that werent in rome haha but yeah when i get the money ill pick up the book and let you know if i like it if i do ill spread the word and if you havnt read them you should read the inheritance series theyre good by chrisopher paolini the first books starts off choppy but gets better waiting for the last one to come out they're great
