  • You have the most AMAZING nails... how do you do that

  • Woah, you are so amazing at painting your own nails.

  • btw are you using a special type of acrylic colour or just a one from the craft shop will do?

  • @darkstar0612 - Just the cheap ones from any craft shop. (Artist-grade acrylic tends to be too thick for nail art and very difficult to remove.) I buy my cheapies from Michael's or Target or any shop like that, and they're usually less than a dollar.

  • nails* lol

  • I've been searching for this tutorial ever since i saw the picture on google!

Very Nice! I love your nais!

  • @darkstar0612 - Thanks! I'm glad to hear you found what you were looking for. :-)

  • Red is your color

  • @caroeve4 - Thanks! :-)

  • that shade of red looks AMAZING on your skintone!

  • @Geege6879 - Thank you very much! :-)

  • More konad videos plz!

  • Mustard my bad.

  • Haha I like ur description. Pepo likes to set musters

  • Hi Asami,

You have lovely natural nails and also you apply the polish to your nails perfectly. An excellent tutorial...

Helen and I think you are a nail technician, anyway what ever, you are good!

We have subscribe to your channel and think more people should do so. Also we send a friend invite..

From Nails Of Promise in London we send you a big hello.

    Tony & Helen

  • @nailsofpromise - Thank you so much! I've subscribed to you as well. I really appreciate the lovely compliments, thanks! :-)

  • your nails look round in the video part. but in the still shots they look squared lol..

  • @lexxielovee - Very true! The still-shots are actually from last year, whereas the video was recorded more recently. I've worn my nails square my whole life up until a few months ago when I decided it might be nice to try round for a change. :-)

  • Do you always have your nails painted or do you wait between polishings?

  • @Akane1313 - Almost always. I'd say I have polish on about 95% of the time, but I do like to remove it when I know I'll be visiting Sephora that day since they have testers for all their polishes and I like to swatch in-store. When it's time for me to trim my nails and whiten them, often after that I won't feel like painting them as well so I'll just leave them blank until the next day. So, almost always, but not unceasingly.

  • @nailsbyasami Thanks for replying back to me. It would be fine for the nail care vid not to happen until after October - all your halloween nails are great!!! Thanks :)

  • Your nails and hands are beautiful. Are you a hand model? A video on how you look after your nails and keep them strong would be great. I am having a lot of probs with splitting lately :)

  • @mrspinkysocks - Aw, thank you! I am not a hand model, hehe. It would be great if I could, but I have a small scar on the first knuckle of my index finger from an animal bite when I was a girl, (you can see it at 2:41) so unfortunately it's not in the cards for me.

I will certainly try my best to make a natural nail care video for you. It won't happen until after October though, is that alright? Halloween nail art only comes around once a year so I'd like to focus on that for this month. :-)

  • Asami, could you please do a video on how you take care of your nails, specifically about the grooming/shaping in between polish wear? You have gorgeous nails!

  • @abs0lutelyfab - I will, I'll try to fit in how I maintain strength, avoid/treat staining and file/shape. Please feel free to let me know if there is anything else you'd like included, okay?

  • @nailsbyasami - sounds great! Pet Mulder for me! :)

  • @nailsbyasami could you include your reccomendations for top coats and base coats?

  • i love your cat!

  • @BowzNrain - Thanks, he is flattered! :-)

  • You inspire me to master painting my left hand without spilling over and needing clean up anywhere! (I'm right handed.) Any tips for painting with your subdominant hand? :) Btw loveee the spider nails.

  • @xoBee - Thanks! Polishing with your non-dominant hand is certainly a tricky business. I know this is the last tip anyone ever wants to hear, but it's really practice. I used to be a tremendous mess but from polishing my own nails every 3-4 days for the last few years, I have gotten so much better. Take it slow, I spend about 20-25 painting my nails. Also try painting your toes with your left hand so its skills can improve. I'll try to think of some more tips later.
