In Europe, where people were mostly Christian farmers, this caused a problem. Eggs that were produced daily couldn't be eaten or sold. So in order to preserve them, they boiled them. On the Easter sunday they brought these eggs (painted for decorative purpose) and gifted to each other. The custom is still followed in Europe. Egg is also a symbol for new life.

Yes, apart from that mistake at 1.10 sec, the whole story is a blunder.

There's nothing whatsoever Biblical about the Easter egg and its tradition. This has nothing to do with Easter or Ressurection of Jesus.
