there probably are samples in there, but cosmogramma seems to shy away from the sampling style he used in his Los Angeles series, this time relying more on composition, melodies, and the 'music' rather than beat music. i didnt think LA was a groundbreaking album, it reminded me of Madlib meets synths meets a little twist by flylo. however it's one of my favorites, but Cosmogramma is groundbreaking and a new sound for this day and age. easily the album of 2010, its like nothing ive heard before.
