  • why dont you try reviewing m3 e30? or e36.

  • @SuperGeorgian : I would love to. You got one for me ?

  • @TheGetawayer my dad's got e36 :D

  • Class video and comprehensive, intelligent review of a great car - well done!

  • @blackporscheroadster : Thank you very much ! I love Porsches and I tried my best

  • @thegetawayer meine Deustch Sind sehr slecht. Lol the review was superb!

  • @trapshooter682 : It's really hard to learn german :) Thanks for the nice comment !

  • Vielen Dank für die review.

  • @trapshooter682 : You're welcome !

  • Thanks for those videos Guido. I was wondering if you plan to review the Audi R8 and Audi TTRS? Have you ever thought of comparing them with your favorite Porsches?

  • @harolddemaine : Thank you very much for your feedback !

I have actually planed to review the Audi R8 ( already knew where to get one, which isn't that easy with sportscars ) and other cars from Audi.

The problem is that I have to rent the cars for these videos and this is very expensive for me as a student...

  • Great video! I'm thinking of getting an 07 or 08 plate boxter S. Would you recommend it above a second hand 06 plate M3? I know they are kind of different cars but I just want something quick and sporty. Thanks again

  • @Trancecomms : I would love to help you but I haven't driven the M3 yet, eventhough I am a real BMW enthusiast...Take a test drive in both cars and see what you like best...The Boxster is a stunning car, hands down

  • Sweet car! and that's coming from an american!~

  • @dammit525 : Thanks ! Greetings from germany

  • It is a Wonderful car. My chum got an 03 one a couple of days ago. It was so sound. The note comes in at about 3500rpm. Then comes back again at 5000rpm. A reall nice driving thing. Pity he never let me drive it. Must come with full service history. Check the Clock . Thank you.

  • @ColinBurnside : Thanks for your comment ! It really is a great car ! Greetings from germany

  • You shouldn't forget, that the Boxster 986 was some kind of rescue for Porsche and if you'll look around, the Boxster is much higher rated among Porsche fans than the Cayman. Problem is, the Cayman isn't as good as it could be and has a doubtful, in some countries even ridiculous, name. Clarkson of TopGear was absolutely right!

  • Excellent review that nicely mirrors the experience many drivers have when trying a Boxster for the first time.! I personally think the Boxster S is the thinking man's new 911.

  • @911928944 : Thank you for your comment ! I have to say I really had my doubts about the Boxster, but I've never been so wrong before. Especially the Boxster S is really a very fast car and handles perfect.

  • LOL...8:05..big bug!

Guido...I think you are absolutely right...for most driving conditions I found the Boxster more fun than a 911 too. Just really tight, really firm, and you can use more of the engine before getting to insanely quick speeds.

Not sure I agree with the PDK...pretty much every test of identical cars with MT versus dual clutch and the same driver...the car wins. (even good drivers like on 5th Gear Audi TT test). But synthetic? Yes. Faster? Hmmmm! :)

  • @friendlytaipei : Haha, yeah this suction-mount-tripod was flexible, really ruined most of the footage. Glad I got a solid one now.

I'm not all that bad about these double-clutches, but they have to work as good as the DSG from VW, which is perfect and does what you want it to do. However with the PDK you end up driving in 7th gear all the time in D and to me it doesn't fell as instant and as fast as a manual gearbox. Rev-Matching can really improve your shifting time, I tell you this, buddy :)

  • Mate, your reviews are awesome and I like your sense of humor (even though it is German ;)

I had a Boxster 2.7 (MY2006) and was mocked by friends that it is a girlie car, even though I found the suspension very hard, the gear-shift clunky and the clutch needed some muscle.

I then bought a 997 Carrera 4 Tiptronic (MY2007) and to my surprise this car is much more comfortable and calming, with the auto shifting into the higher gears very quickly.

If you ask me which car is sportier? The Boxster

  • @LordLauderdale : Thanks so much for your awesome comment, buddy ! I can't tell you how cool it is for me, when people that drove or even owned the cars I reviewed, give me their feedback ! Can't thank you enough really. Hope you get to check out my Porsche 911 reviews ( have 3 of them ) and have a look at how fast the PDK shifts :) Cheers

  • @TheGetawayer

Does it have the sport exhaust?

  • @Kevin172737 : I think it was the standard exhaust

  • Sehr geiles Auto.

  • You should speak in German, as long as you subtitle it I'm sure few would mind, and that way you could get a larger German audience. (potentially)

  • @colenbrak : I had a german channel and it wasn't nearly as successful as this one. ..

  • @TheGetawayer well the only reason I found out about you is because HartvoorautosNL liked one of your videos

  • @colenbrak : These guys are amazing, but the channel is run by Jorrie2, one of the most subbed car-spotters from europe. No problem for them to reach out to a big audience world-wide with well over 27k subs on their back...Of course I would love to have more views and feedback on my videos, and maybe i will do german videos again...It really depends on if I still feel like making videos in the future

  • Guido, fantastic video !! Another great car and has a good reliability !!! (●̮̮̃●̃)۶

  • great agile car, great sound engine, just great Porsche :) nice test drive!

  • thanks for speaking in english

  • I am the 666th veiwer! :O

  • Nice car but, the 911 is the way to go!!

  • Great video Guido! I sent you a message on your Geburtstag.

  • (Cont.) I love your motorized logo, but confess my favorite part of the video is the ending - we've come full circle and can visualize her, at the track, and in her Boxster S!! ~Finis~ Great Review!!

  • (Cont.) The tempo picks up, and, we view some more innovative camera, points of view - I love the wing rising in a real road condition. You candidly share with us your initial bias towards the Boxster, but allow the car to speak to you and to us... At 7:50 another revelation... At 9:00, and beyond, we get our answer! Based on The Ride and not any bias. (Cont.)

  • (Cont.) The road seems so narrow at that speed. Is this a metaphor for the thin line between a successful spots car and an also ran? At 3:18, we receive our first revelation... At 3:47, the music cues us into a new mood (just like in a movie) and for the first time, we experience this really cool camera angel which orients the car to the road and the twisties. AWESOME-EPIC!! This narrow road, with her sharp turns becomes dreamlike. (Cont.)

  • I love our park-like, forest-like, opening! Nice music setting the mood, with related scenery. The forest reflections, tie our car, into its surroundings (the Porsche marketing folks could do No better)! You share with us immediately the ...challenge, can the Porsche Boxster S stand-up to the formidable 911? Now we are all along for "The Ride."

  • Btw, with what kind of camera did you film inside? Looking good!

  • @jorrie2 : I use two Aiptek Camcorders. Pretty cheap ones to be honest, glad you liked the video anyway. Don't forget to hit the like-button ! I am waiting for youtube paying me a better camera one day :)

  • Nice video mate! Getting better! :)

  • My brother has a Boxster S and LOVES it... nice job!

  • Nachträglich Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum 26ten.

Schönes Geschenk hast du dir da gemacht .

  • 0:03 I was is shock :-P

Really nice review ! Really like the way you present this time !

  • Very nice. You should start your own youtube show!

Try to get as many subscribers as you can mate, you're going far ;)

  • hey, echt cooles video !!

  • Great video as always Guido.I can't wait to see more videos because your videos are getting better and better every time I watch them.Great channel and awesome videos!

  • Lovely engine sounds.
