The guy with the glasses who sounds like John Candy is none other than veteran character actor JESSE WHITE, who appeared in hundreds of movies and dozens of TV shows [he was also the voice of "Cornelius Crow" to Bob McFadden's "Rory Raccoon" on "LINUS THE LIONHEARTED"]...and was best known for being the "Lonely Maytag Repairman" in their commercials during the '60s and '70s.

Yes, this was filmed on 7/11/61, 'moody', and originally aired as the fourth episode telecast on October 24, 1961. Carl Reiner once said he wrote this episode primarily because he wanted to see Mary dressed like a bunny...
