  • I wish someone would upload don knotts when he did Man on the Street. My favorite is the one where he's Nixon's bodyguard.

  • I would have given anything to have met Don knotts :)

Thank you for posting this <3

  • Two famous tv "neighbors" here, Mr. Furley from Three's Company and Schneider from One Day at a Time

  • Steve Allen was smart enough to surround himself with TOP NOTCH supporting talent when he was given a prime time show. In addition to Pat, Don, Tom & Gabe..there was also Louis Nye.

  • Don Knotts was in a WWII South Pacific show called "Stars and Gripes" and the age of 19 in 1943. My dad played sax/clarinet in the band of the variety show which entertained thousands of troops on ships, Australia, Phillipines and many other islands. I have program of the show and V letters to my mom explaining what was going on. Don did his nervous announcer bit. Mickey Shaunessy was also in the Army sponsored group.

  • Actually, the song is from "Finian's Rainbow" and was written by Harburg and Lane.

  • This is so funny!

  • Wow Don Knotts was taller than Pat Harrington, Jr.? Knotts was 5-8 right? "Schneider" couldn't be that short! *Scratches head*

  • I Love this 50s video does this half to do with the steve allen show I think he was on late show with david letterman and that 70s show 1998 and pleasentvile 1998 and the andy griffith reunoin 1986-2006

  • The guy playing the Earl in that sketch with Don Knotts is none other than Pat Harrington Jr. A voice actor for years, Harrington was the voice of the French Inspector on the PINK PANTHER cartoons but his wide-spread fame arrived in the '70s and '80s when he was typecast as Schneider on the TV show ONE DAY AT A TIME.

  • oh wow, Barney Fife before he was stupid !!! Thank you Don Knotts. R.I.P.

  • I loved Don Knotts.

  • That guy looks like the guy that played the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz.

  • Try Schneider on "One Day At A Time." LOL!

  • This is very cool to see these old shows! Those were the days...thanks for posting!!!
