Oh MAN!! Saw them live this Wednesday... This was their first encore. They left stage and the crowd began to cheer as the image of a shifting eye came up on the screen. 'Painkiller' is definitely a heavy metal (or speed metal? whatever) album, but that is 1990. Manowar were heavy metal since day one, already in 1981. Heavy metal is all they are. They ARE the definition of heavy metal. It takes nothing away from Judas Priest to say that.

Dont know if anyone else noticed, but, the intro was quite abit higher tuning wise than when the band came in. Tells me it was pre recorded, which is fine, its a multi guitar part, but, I wonder if Halfords vocals were SO high then, that he was able to sing above 440 standard tuning in this tune when it was recorded. Incredible really. When the band came in, they where in the key of E and definitely in standard tuning. I checked to make sure. lol
