well i prefer my jack with coca cola but i used to have this album (8 eight santa) on cassette but it got stolen from my car, along with all my other music, when i lived in milwaukee. first saw these guys open up for primus early 90's sometime in chicago. we thought they were the road crew setting up for tad. they started playing some and i thought "these guys are pretty good for a road crew!" then i finally realized it was the band! hey i was most likely stoned! ahh good times, good times!
use both pickups out of a marshall stack with a bigmuff or similar pedal, not sure if that's what Doyle uses but you get a MASSIVE sound from the Jazz with that setup.
actually you can sound so heavy with yr jazzmaster..
just get yrself a superfuzz pedal combined with a metal pedal and that's it..just keep the fuzz always stronger then the metal distortion..you will be ultra pleased with the sound :)

There are HEAPS and MILLIONS of great grunge bands...
But Nirvana I personaly think will alwys b the best. Their music is not only grungy, it has meaning to it.
