This was back when the writing at Days was superb and totally unbeatable. Steve and Kayla were my all time favorite Days couple. I started watching when Stephen first came on the show and when they brought MB on as Kayla I was captivated by them. There has never been any other soap couple that I felt so strongly about. And I still feel very strongly about them to this day.

I love this clip. I always have. I can't even TELL you how many times I've watched it over the years. There's a sense of poignancy between these two characters. A love that's just tangible. I'm so GLAD they were reunited, even if these current writers didn't know how to write for them. It gives me pleasure to know they're together.

I remember this scene from Days like it was from yesterday. This was from 1986. I used to watch Days of Our Lives with my mom back in the 80s & always loved Kayla & Patch the most out of all the daytime stars. These 2 were my favorites & this scene here is my most favorite scene ever in daytime soap.
