Actually roads originally were designed for Roman soldiers, then horses and wagons, then about the same time out came both the car and the bike but being more expensive, the car took a little longer to gain popularity. In the pre war years, there were more bicycles using the roads than cars. Roads are not just for cars, motorbikes, vans, lorries, coaches or other motorised vehicles, especially urban ones where it's all mixed together. Kats, why do cyclists do what they do?(whatever that is!)
Even Malcolm doesn't understand cycling and why cyclists do what they do. Malcolm, our roads are made for cars, designed through the windscreen, and cyclists have to make do.
