I really dig my kids, so I stay home to soak up the time before it's gone, but seriously, other mothers tend to rain acid on our happy parade. From the PTO to the MOPS, people who act like this make parenting a PITA. I'm a mom, but I really, honestly, don't give two farts in the wind what choices you've made for your family. OMG, this is EXACTLY what the "Stepford Moms" (my term) are like down here in suburban Houston. I especially love "the internet told me" line. Some mothers are just plain batshit insane about their kids (they are usually obsessive, white, suburbanites who live in a mental bubble) and woe unto anyone who does anything less than praise them like the perfect, unique, flowery, indigo child that they no doubt are! Yeah, I guess it's fair to say that teachers sometimes have similar complexes about their students and have come to expect the same from their parents. I think a balanced approach such as yours helps children to develop discipline while still feeling a sense of pride and self-worth.

I've been on since the beginning and love it but it is very high drama (of course LOL). Anyway there are a LOT of the blond on the site. There are at least 20 posts on each topic that you covered on the site at any given time so we're just all loving it. I just wanted to let you know that you've made a bunch of moms day! TY
