  • Winston Churchill also warned of those who manipulate world markets, et al. Churchill spoke of those behind the scenes who control the world. IKE was right too. American history teachers need to be aware of this and teach the truth. America is in peril. We need campaign finance reform now! THIRD PARTY NOW!

  • JFK also warned us in his "Secret Societies" speech!

  • WANNA SEE -MEET THE MONSTER MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPALEX?

    search mr podat on youtube

  • You do realize the word Eisenhower is included in the beginning of the video?

  • rEAGAN rASH ,cLINTON LINT BALL , bUSH WACKED AND PLUNDERED, oBAMA pUPPET FOR HISTORICAL dRAMA..tHEY lOVE TO KEEP Us on the run ...Cold Turkey's...

  • Surely you didn't mean to spell his name incorrectly. For whatever faults he had as a President, many people in this world owe their freedom, especially Europe. His talents as a General were second to none.

  • well then I suppose Ike shouldn't have sent our troops to viet nam in the first place then we wouldn't have had to worry about. don't go and blame JFK we had people over there before he was elected, and he was going to end it, unfortunately a group of people got together and decided to kill him instead. then of course lbj sent more troops over funny how that all worked out isn't it? conspiracy? nah of course not, secret government? no way.

  • @denniswilsonfan Johnson ramped up the "conflict" in a big way. France was there, and got out. like Russia out of Afghanistan. Nixon closed it out in 1975. So, approx 55K American lives, and untold NVA, cong lives for nothing.

  • @rick7531 Dont forget the tens of thousands of nam vets who also died of agent orange cancer .The total numbers are top secret Im sure.

  • @denniswilsonfan I like the way you hit so many nails on the head. I'll never forget sitting in 5th grade and someone from the office came in and told us Kennedy had been shot. My first thought was, "Johnson". If my memory serves me right, it was Johnson who totally escalated the war. Only one of the many mysteries which have many of us Baby Boomers question.

  • i agree completely

  • I could'nt agree more

  • As long as there are Americans like TCtomthumb69...our government will be peopled by leaders who recycle the same ideological crap again and again.

  • @jmb92555 i agree mindset like that has brought us to where were at today.buisness bad goverment good,so we get the monster thx to those who know how to live your life better than you.sad

  • @pitiful0714 Actually business and government are one and the same. Mussolini said that fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is the merger of corporate and government powers. All you have to do is look at the connection between Wall Street and Washington via lobbyists to see this is now a fascist country Ike warned against.

  • People who stand for the CSA don't go around killing people. They have told me slavery wasn't the reason the south was fighting. They fight with words, noone dies like that. The kkk did and they had to be stopped. I'm sure its the same with this. Most people are smart enough to know better. Some people are just murderers and use that as a reason.

  • First time i ever heard of them wanting to attack us was when Carter had his peace talks. They murdered there leader and said the US will pay for its part in the talks.

  • It goes all the way back to the crusades; if not, further. They have VERY long memories: oral history, passed down from generation to generation. Of course, there's also: Teddy Roosevelt - the Marines in Tripoli, Libya; our hand in the Balfour Agreement - which split up, divided and fragmented their traditional tribal kingdoms, ethnic territories and boundaries for Euro/American exploitation; the 1953 CIA backed Iranian coup - which installed the Shah; our unwavering support of Israel....

  • Funny how it always goes back way before anyone alive was alive. Do these people live for hate and death. So they tell stories of what happened. How many times has that story changed?I dont want anyone to die. But if people are out there who think they have the right to kill. Over things that happened before they were born. They are everyone's enemy, and have to be stopped at all cost. As the last 2 men on earth turn to each other and say I got to kill you you killed all them people.

  • A lot of it boils down to pride - perhaps the deadliest of the "seven deadly sins" (or vices) - when one's honor is injured, vengeance and revenge are believed 'necessary' to recoup loss of face.

  • P.S. - Meant to add this, earlier. Having lived in the South the last 40 years, what you describe is not uncommon - at all - in this part of the country: all too often, one meets, talks with, and knows, people who're STILL pissed-off and resentful - actually, FULL of hatred - about the Civil War. So, in actuality: it's not like "they" are actually any different from "us".... "We have met the enemy, and he is us!"

  • I been here 46 years and I dont know anyone that wants to kill over it. Can't say I ever have. I feel it comes down to some people are just lookin for a reason. Like when a person jumps on a person of another race. Check his record, most of the time he's been in all kinda trouble. I still say people who kill for things that happened before they were born have to be stop whoever or whereever they are found.

  • First of all, No body is fooled by any of my comments, they are fact based. You focus so much of you position on Bush, Bush, Bush and seem to think and that I am pro Bush, I am not.... He is but just one player is the scope of things, and what is happening now is far more than BUSH. I hate Bush's policy's as much as the next guy. You fail to acknowledge current and previous Administrations and their attributes to our present situation, and that is my premice. Get out of the past.

  • This is 2009 going into 2010 and not 1864, I am not one to guage the past against the future, we create the present and shape the future. The issues of the past only cloud our path to the future, and interfere with our reasoning, we have a new enemy now to deal with. Obama is not the one capable to deal with it. 1st point, With his squandering of Taxpayer money. My example here is B of A, who got 35 Billion and then reported a 30 Billion dollar loss for the first quarter.

  • Comment removed

  • Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. (George Santayana)

Apparently, you're a 'neo-con' apologist. You even say, "The issues of the past only cloud our path to the future, and interfere with our reasoning"; a variant of their catch-all brush-off, "So, we screwed up/got caught with our hands in the cookie jar; so what? That's the past; we must focus on the future."

That doesn't solve problems; it just deflects attention, avoids accountability, and, sets us up - again!

  • Second, C I T the nations 5th largest who got 3.2 Billion just filed for bankruptcy. These are factual indicators of how Obama's policy's are failing. There are still no jobs, my wife is a Teacher and many of her Co-workers have been laid off and the Obama Administration still pumps it's crap of we saved jobs, they saved absolutely nothing but Big Business and Wall Streets ass. I am absolutely sure they have screwed themselves for 2010 and 2012. and they did it to themselves...

  • You'd do well to remember: when Obama took office, less than 10mos. ago, our country was poised on the brink of a 21st century equivalent of the Great Depression (if you know what that was: it was in the past). Keep in mind: how extremely severe it was, what it took - what was required to emerge from it - and, how long-lasting it was. Now, consider where we are, less than a year later. Then: GIVE THE MAN A BREAK; it takes time and money (investments in the future) to fix things - it's not magic!

  • With a lot of help from people like you, who seem to believe they're entitled to instant gratification; but, have nothing - whatsoever, as far as I can tell - to offer in the way of actual assistance; constructive criticism, realistic solutions, etc.

Your accusations ring hollow: not ONE word about Reaganomics; the subsequent 'glories' of deregulation of the energy, banking/finance/S&L, industries, etc.; much less, what transpired due to it - the mess we're in now - because of deregulation.

  • Plus the fact you've been completely mute about 'our' (unjustified) war in Iraq, and what that has cost - in SO many ways: lives, as well as treasure (>$1trillion), wasted; loss of trust/prestige, etc. You accuse Obama of saving big business and Wall Street, but, whoTF do you think was in charge during Bush's reign; whyTF do you think 'we' went into Iraq - I mean - just whereTF do you think all the money went?! They laughed all the way to the bank; now, they're waiting for you to put them back!

  • Plus the fact you claim Clinton got us into our present mess; in fact, this recession stems from the mortgage meltdown - a result of deregulation, and the associated lack/absence of oversight - during Bush's tenure; along with the astronomical increase in gas/oil prices - $4.00+ a gal. - largely due to speculation (fears of supply disruption/shortages) over when/where Bush would strike next; which, also led to the collapse of our auto industry. Clinton left a budget surplus; Bush left the mess!

  • The Clinton legacy shows clearly he should have been tossed out of office for Boning interns and he didn't have a clue how to manage Terrorists, he did very little to curb the tide. With Iraq at the time, the USS Cole, Iran, especially North Korea giving them a clear path for nuclear proliferation, Clinton's watch Pal. This situation eventually bled over directly to the US nine months after Bush was sworn into office. You say Bush's fault??

  • You have some kind of neo-Puritanical sex hang up, or something (are you a hypocrite and/or just jealous)? What Clinton and Lewinsky did was consensual; she was of age; it wasn't (statutory) rape; it wasn't illegal - he didn't break the - ANY - law when he was fooling around with her. Where they got him was when he LIED about it - denied it - which, is pretty much what any other guy who's been dipping his wick does, when confronted....

  • As for the rest, I'm sorry Clinton wasn't able to go into the future and stop the 9/11 attacks - which occurred 9mos. after he left office; that being the case, it was Bush's responsibility: after all, he was commander-in-chief - and - plenty of info.: briefings, intel., status of on-going investigations, etc., were provided to the Bush team during the transition...it's not Clinton's fault they dropped the ball...how they ignored and neglected to act/expand upon it is well-known!

  • Clinton did nothing in the Middle East to curb Terrorism, insteat he continued his attempts to peace broker two cultures that hate each other. But while the Palistinian's wish to have their own State all they really do is send missiles into Isreal and preach violance and destruction. Now we have Hamas and the Palitinians fighting each other as well as Isreal. Without Isreal there would only be a festering, bleeding cancerous tumor proliferating the Middle East hemorrhaging destruction.

  • Also, keep in mind that "Clinton, Regan or Bush" had no previous Military experience to enable them to make the decisions necessary to persue an effective stratagy in the Middle East. Bush did right by going after Al Queada in Afganistan/Pakistan, but blew it when he went into Iraq (for personal reasons) causing Iraq to implode and costing American lives. Only Bush senior had a true Military background, but did not oust Saddam and finish the job with "Desert Storm."

  • First of all PAL it's called ADULTRY and yes it is against the law. Second, it's called PURJURY. He also broke the moral code of ethics with Lewinskis's throat. It is totally improper for anyone to sexually persue thier employee or someone within their own office, it deals with ethics of which Clinton was and is a clear violater. He not only lied about tickling tonsals, but just think of the other lies he was guilty of? You just wish to sugar coat Clinton as your idol. Clinton is a Hypocrate.

  • Any time you want to cause uproar with Wall Street just hand the reigns to speculators you'll get what you get. Car makers did this to themselves by abandoning fuel efficient vehicles in the 80's & 90's, by building gas guzzlers and establishing outrageous prices for their vehicles cutting their own throats. I have no syspathy for them they got what they deserve. Ford is the only US car company with a brain, and their prices are too high.

  • Why did the US car makers do that - abandon "fuel efficient vehicles in the 80's & 90's, by building gas guzzlers"? Because of deregulation - starting with the Reagan administration - which scrapped the mandated (regulated, by law) annual increases in vehicle fuel efficiency, which had been established during the Carter administration - to off-set our dependence on (then) expensive foreign oil, and to counteract the effects of supply shortages and (OPEC) embargoes. Big oil won; we lost, again!

  • Comment removed

  • YOU yourself made comments of how deregulation was a good thing, yea right. Big Auto makers screwed themselves by hiring Lobbyists to to influence our politicians policy's on lowering air quality standards. A decision that only lined the pockets of Big Oil and the Auto Giants, and screwed Americans who wanted better standards. They did not want to spend the money in support of better standards, because it was too expensive and would have caused a massive overhaul of the Auto Industry.

  • The Auto industry is far too big for it's own britches, they deserve to go Bankrupt. Remember the EV-1?? Both GM and Toyota supplied them. Today you might see only one or two left on the road. WHY?? Because they were efficient and clean. Only what many do not know is it started a rift between Toyota and GM on the final rights and would have damaged their revenue base with gas powered cars and their relationship with the big oil Companies, a Conspiracy in itself..

  • If you think $4.00 per galloon is bad? YOUR POINT IS MUTE.... The situation in Iran should push you to hide your head in the sand. A single blockade at the Sraights of Hormuz would push fuel prices as high as $20.00 per gallon, and just what would the Obama Administration do about it then?? Another un-justified War?? Please.. Russia controls 80% of Europe's oil supply. Plus, Russia doing fly overs of our Aircraft carriers?? Testing our Military?? OBAMA's watch Pal...

  • "Fly-overs of our aircraft carriers"...that really doesn't constitute much of a threat anymore; at least, not in the 21st century. You think they're going to start dive-bombing us - drop eggs down our stacks - like the Japanese did at Pearl Harbor? I mean, there are satellites, guided missiles - an entire array of long distance/remote surveillance and weapons systems - which, don't require fly-overs...just ask the British about the effectiveness of those French-made Exocets!

  • YOU are misinformed, The Clinton Administration did not creat a budget surplus as many claim. His so called surplus was only on paper and not a true reality. Clinton created many problems for the US to deal with and it always becomes the next guy's problem, that my friend is the legacy of Americam politics. Business as usual, the status quo, until the shit hits the fan.

  • Yeah, yeah: show me facts/figures; not just your words. Fact: "the shit hit the fan" Sept.11, 2001- Bush's watch. Fact: largest increase in the size of gov't. (Homeland Security) since the Depression. Fact: exploited 9/11- took us into an unjust war - for profit: no-bid contracts and sweetheart deals with Cheney's old corp./buddies at Halliburton/KBR and Wackenhut; Bush, Cheney & the rest of the cabinet - ALL 'Big Oil' - the price of oil rose fr. $20, to over $100/barrel; as did everything else.

  • First of all many Wars have been unjustified and will continue so. No Peresident can ever stop them. They always come to our doorstep. I know first hand the horrors of War from Viet Nam, another unjustified War, but I did my part. Did I like it? NO, but I did my duty to my country. Like I previously said this all goes way before BUSH. Bush was just anoth wrench in the big machine.

  • The war in Iraq did NOT "come to our doorstep"; Bush took us there under false pretext (to emphasize just how false it was), with fabricated 'evidence', etc. Don't even try telling me "no President can ever stop" unjustified war; esp., when all one has to do is: don't start one to begin with! How did you do your part - "my duty to my country" - by participating in an unjustified war? If you were ordered to shoot us - like at Kent State - would you blindly obey orders, do your duty, and kill us?!

  • So, the "powers that be" 'played' you; however, you 'played' along: you're an accessory - just as complicit. The people who do their part - the real patriots - are those who: shout "This war is bullshit!"; protest; help prevent/end useless, wasteful, and illegal/unjustifiable wars (that only serve to fatten the bank accounts of corporate war profiteers - who'll perpetuate their war machine - regardless of anyone/anything standing in their way). Those are the true heroes: few, and far between!

  • You live in a tunnel with miopic vision. Deregulation and what you speak of with Reganomics is much of what got us into this mess in the first place. It goes far beyond BUSH. Banks, Loan companies and wall street have had free reign over the financial system for decades, although ALL past Presidents have obviously contributed to the mess NONE have changed anything. Now the Banking industry is suffocating from it's own actions and unfortunatly taking the Taxpayer for a joy ride.

  • Your such a fool Red Rad. To even have the idea of focusing on impeachable offences of Bush? You Obviously fail to see the many impeachable offences of Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Johnson, Nixon. Yet none of these Presidents were ever actually impeached, rehtoric. Carter a total fool actually got people killed with his path in the Middle East, Reagan stood by and did absolutely nothing after 300 Americans Military died in Lebenon, Johnson escalated the Viet Nam war with over 55 thousand killed.

  • Comment removed

  • "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time." (Abraham Lincoln)

You can fool some of the people all the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on. (George W. Bush)

I don't know who you think you're fooling but, it's not me. You either ascribe to Bush's 'philosophy' - or - you've (obviously!) been fooled by it.

  • Sure Bush was corrupt. So's Obama. So was Clinton Reagan etc. Wake up people! The powers that be don't let honest men in the white house. Oh, and Bush wasn't the first criminal to steal his election. Kennedy did it in 60. He wasn'yt a popular man till the CiA blew his brains out.

  • This particular song has total resonance to day just as it did in 1968. America still cannot mind it's own business in the world, Our government still violates the peoples trust by squandering our Tax dollars to their pet projects, and in doing so our politicians bitch and complain about budget shortfalls. You guessed it, they raise your taxes. Bush had the right idea by giving money back to the people. However, Obama gave it all to crooked businesses and corrupt banks. America stand togeether.

  • You can´t mean that. Bush had a right idea....... hahaha

  • Absolutely, at least he gave money back to you and me instead of AIG, BofA, GM, Chrysler and many other crooked businesses. And even after the massive bailout of the Obama Administration they'er still crooked and corrupt. and not helping. You sound just like a Democrat..

  • There's not enough space here to expound upon the extent of the 'crookedness' and absolute corruption of (virtually every member in) the Bush administration. That said, I strongly recommend - urge - you read John Dean's excellent book on the subject "Worse than Watergate"; wherein, he documents (at length) no fewer than 15 separate impeachable offenses committed by Bush and his cronies. The book was published in 2004; and, sadly enough, the vast majority occurred even BEFORE the Iraq war!

  • Anyone who would even begin to entertain the notion that Bush and his puppet-master henchmen "had the right idea" is clearly clueless; if not, totally delusional...obviously!

  • Typical Democratic point of view. History will show that Democrats cause more damage to our system of Government than the Republicans ever did. Neither is perfect. However, the attacks of 911 occured as a result of Clintons failed middle east policies in his handling of terrorists, it takes more than 4 cruise missiles to do the job. Bush had to clean Clintons kitchen and wound up with his own mess.

  • As I suspected: clearly clueless; if not, totally delusional...obviously!

  • I think your the one who is delusional and clueless... Do your research and see for yourself, believe what you will the facts speak for themselves...

  • I see absolutely no evidence of your having any conception, and grasp, of the "facts", based upon what you've written. As far as I can tell, you've just thrown out a lot of unsubstantiated rhetoric, rumors, and innuendo. I mean, here you are: playing the roles of judge, jury, and executioner - having already found Obama guilty and damning him - he's only been in office 3/4 of one year; and, at least he's TRYING to repair the damage done over the previous 8...you thrive of ignorance, fear, hate.

  • By "facts", do you mean blatantly biased statements, such as "the attacks of 911 occured as a result of Clintons failed middle east policies"? Is that what you call - or, just WANT others to believe, is - a fact?! Well, it's not: that's your OPINION, nothing more; after all, where's the evidence, the proof - the facts - to support your conclusion that "the attacks of 911 occured as a result of Clintons failed middle east policies"? You accuse so many of dishonesty - but - look who's talking!

  • A more accurate statement would be: "The attacks of 911 occured as a result of" the actions of a group of well-organized fanatics, who felt the US should be punished for its long history of: meddling in the affairs of sovereign Arab/Islamic states; regime destabilization/institution of puppet rulers; exploitation to support its own interests; attempts to replace traditional cultural and Islamic religious values with US/Christian ones.

Such US 'involvement' goes back "to the shores of Tripoli".

  • You Pal, actually sound to me to be more anti-American than anyone I've communicated with recently, Your all about conspiracy and that the US should just mind it's own business in the World. WE HAVE DONE THAT... Then came WW!, we got dragged in to save Europe, then WW2 and Pearl Harbor and saving Europe again and Asia. If the US did nothing but mind our own business YOU and I would not be living today and the world would be very different... Don't like America?? Leave..

  • Sorry "Pal" - but - you're the isolationist here; these are your own words:

"America still cannot mind it's own business in the world". You say I'm "all about conspiracy"; but, where have I mentioned any conspiracy? John Dean's book is extensively documented - it's not 'made up' - unlike the statements of opinion you're trying to pass off as "facts". As for the rest, there are 'right' and 'wrong' ways to do things: the US has a long history of doing things the wrong way; hence, 9/11...payback.

  • Comment removed

  • Not to mention Your obvious hero Clinton who's fucking of interns and his handling of crisis in the Middle East earned him articles of impeachment. I could go on and on. I am not an isolationist, America is too interwoven into the fabric of this world. My position would be to help those who need it as we do, and i would annihilate any one or any country responsible for killing Americans the mere fact that Democrats play patty cake with politics is hypocritical in it'self.

  • Obama is just another pretty face that advocates change that is failing already in his early term with Democrats, with the highest deficit in US history within only 10 months in office. This is not change we can believe in, it's only change Americans will resent for years to come. He is indecisive in foreign policy, he supports business as usual in Washington with big Government and higher taxes, he has backed off of several campaign promises he made and has been fumbling the ball for months.

  • Also, If the US did nothing in the Middle East vertually all of our ally's would be destroyed by fanatics and give Russia and China a clear path to the mutual destruction of of Europe. Then it would only be a matter of time before they start killing each other. That has been human nature for thousands of years and will remain so until man truly becomes civilized. YOU are totally clueless of where this world would be if the US just sat on their asses and did nothing as you have suggested..

  • Obama's mess is ramming Healthcare Reform down our throats and bailing out crooked Businesses and corrupt Banks while taking the American Taxpayer for a joy ride that will leave us all with an even bigger mess for the next President for years to come. He wears a Diaper around foreign leaders and can't even make up his mind to escalate and win or stand down and lose in Afganistan, Obama doesn't have the stomach to be decisive with war and knows nothing about foreign policy.

  • If YOU see no evidence then your as blind as a rock. Regardless of what the US has done in the past, we will be destroyed if we don't do this right. Obama is not condemned by ME he has done it to himself by creating the largest deficit of the last 20 presidents that your chi;ldren(if you have any) and mine will pay for for the next 50 years. Wasting presious time on ramming healthcare reform when there is far more important issues to deal with, such as Jobs, Education and 2 wars. Your clueless..

  • this präsident was not uninteressting, i dont know his politic exactly, it was before me, but not uninteressting what he was saying, just my opinion.

once again, sorry for my bad english.

    Schattensprinter

  • why the hell is this a response to the monster- steppenwolf??

  • Blow it out yur &%$ Ike,commie threat crap.

  • Obviously you didn't listen to what he said. His warning has NOTHING to do with "commie threat crap".

  • One of the greatest statements made by an American President, too bad you didn't show the whole speech

  • Ive always liked JFK's last speach

  • The entire speech was edited for the publication to this site. I would like to hear the full version as well. It is available from the Presidential archives.

  • I give it only one star 'cause your sync was messed up but, John Kay's Monster lyrics do go well with Eisenhower's warning.

  • Thank you for posting that. I hit the streets to the strains of Steppenwolf's Monster during the Vietnam "police action".. and I hit the streets again, all these years later. We must fight forever.

  • That was cool. Wished the audio synched better with the video...
