  • Damn, I love your reviews. Seriously

  • you guys are beautiful. love it

  • Chimays is a belgian beer made from monks ;)

  • Your wife is funny, and you guys are good together. Keep up the great reviews!

  • shes beutiful bro.

  • Bonus points to the lady for spotting the fruity taste hidden in there, not bad for a non-beer drinker. You may have been able to better control the head formation by pouring into the desired goblet instead of a tall pint glass but that's picking nits. Laughing, enjoying yourself and having a good time, that's what beer is all about.

  • Wow, You are an idiot if you think Chimay is from France.

  • @dja9312 He clearly stated that he didn't do any research. He later stated that it was from belgium i believe.

  • Hey if you haven't researched this beer you should check it out. Pretty interesting stuff, I never knew Monks well check it out, Lol

  • Good job Joe Dee!! Belgium Beer, Lol. Delete that idiot davvvvey from the comment feed, he is a douchebag!!! Love the review's keep it up. Beautiful Wife, man

  • This is all fun and it culminates at 07:20 ! XD

  • Perfect couple. Probably will be married for another 50 years or so.

  • FRENCH BEER!!.... go drink budweiser!!

  • this reminded me of an imasofat episode lol

u should def have her on more!!!

  • you guys are great, you just keep laughing...great together!

  • I like the beer choice you chose its my favorite beer period but you have the wrong glass to drink it in. You need a snifter to get all the smells and flavors out of that beer. But your on the right track for good beers though. It has floral nutty taste to the beer but go try on the flavors though and its stronger cause its fermented longer. Though your on the right track for good beer try the abbey beer with a funny monk cartoon on the front that's also a great beer!

  • funny video, had lots of this when i was in brussels also drank lots of leffe and duvel and quack and............

  • ah, belgium is half dutch, and half french speaking. It has french writing on the european bottle,so i guess it has the same on the export bottle. (though its different, it obviously doesnt say "ale") And its dirty because you let the yeast in the bottle. Which is good i would say: more alcohol! This is what i drink at the pub.!

  • Love your reviews! A "guys guy" approach!

  • haha...That was a trainwreck JJ, but we all have moments like that...You just have the balls to broadcast it. Keep doing this Joe D You make my night man. PEACE...CHEERS!

  • You guys are way too cute! Good catch, brother! She seems a wonderful lady.

    Cheers!

  • French? I can't believe you let her think that Chimay is from France.

  • @Argonath18 Thanks for watching.

  • @jjdaven Hey it is not a french beer it is belgian, but you are not far off, this particular belgian beer is from a french speaking part of belgium, so explains why you got confused with the french on the bottle.

  • @Argonath18 oh dude Belgium is right next to France there's no big difference!

  • DAMN JOE D! Shes is HOTTTTT!! Keep it up, youre the man! If I ever need insight on a beer, you're my go to guy!

Like I said, youre the best man, keep it up

Thanks for doin what u do dude!

  • What did you pick up that Mic for? Better im sure that a boom mic?

  • @MrDaveJ420 That is a mic that I use for my podcast.

  • lol I wonder if she changed her two thumbs up after she found out it was from Belgium.

  • @damM3 Haha, She did!

  • living proof that beer makes people happy

  • @justwannahavfun19 Haha, it sure does.

  • Great chemistry, maybe not a wreck but one of the best. Lots of smiles

  • @lickthebubble Well thanks for the compliment. Thanks for watching.

  • @lickthebubble lmao hell yea hope i get a wife like that if i do step into marriage that is LOL

  • Joe D it is nice to know that your wife supports your helping us beer fools in learning about wonderful beer!! Hopefully she indulges=)...not a beer drinker??? THey make flavored beers, let her review with you as the monitor! keep it in the family!

  • @contentinGA She is not much a beer drinker. But she does support me making these video's. She might get in a video soon you never know.

  • The reason your Chimay looked dirty is because it's a bottle conditioned ale. Which means it has yeast in the bottle. If you let the bottle sit in the fridge a couple days, the yeast will settle to the bottom. Then, if you pour carefully, you can pour the beer into your glass, leaving the yeast behind.

  • That is a great explanation of what bottle conditioning is. Thank you

  • @jjdaven I had a thought after leaving my last comment. Maybe you should buy another bottle of chimay blue, let it settle out for a couple of days first. Then pour yourself a glass, leaving all the yeast behind in the bottle. Then review the beer and see what you think.

  • This beer defiantly deserves another serious review. I could do a much better job.

  • It's a great beer - Red is my fav - It's made by monks y'know

  • Thanks for watching

  • damn son, your wife is HOT

  • Ha-ha, Thanks. Please don't tell her that. Her head will swell. lol

  • Love your wife's laugh! Bout to try some chimay!

  • That is what everyone says. Let me know what you think of Chimay when you try it.

  • GREAT BEER!! Similar to American Yuengling Lager....But less bitter.... definite: Must try!

  • I 've got some Chimay red gonna try it tonite.

  • Good deal I hope you like it. Thanks for watching.

  • Chimay Red remains one of my favorite beers.

You need to review a Three Philosophers by Brewery Ommegang.

  • Also, I forgot to add, the way someone taught me how to remember how to pronounce it (She May) is just remember this: "Give 'er a Chimay, and she might."

  • That is a great was to remember how to say that. Thanks for watching.

  • Have you tried Chimay Red and Chimay White? Im going to try them tonight

  • No I haven't tried them yet.

  • Haha, funny and cool review, guys. Take care, you two..!! I like the name of the beer and it sounds good and interesting..!!

  • Not one of my best reviews, but a funny video anyway.

  • Joe, the correct title for this should be "Chimay Blue or Grand Reserve"

Your wife is just like you: she loves to laugh! No wonder you two were meant for each other ;)

Glad you know now that it's a Belgian not French beer.

One of my favorite videos of yours!

  • Joe did you see my review of this? I gave you a shout-out and showed some AWESOME smoke!

  • Thanks for watching as always and I will have to checkout your video. I have been out of it lately. So much stuff has come up lately. But I should be able to get back to making some more video's right after the holiday.

  • Just found your reviews today, you're a pleasure to watch, cheers!

  • Thank you very much. Keep watching and tell a friend.

  • I had some of this with the family over thanksgiving.

I had it in a wine glass, an it was really excellent! The 9 % abv was 'well hidden'. Smooth stuff, I expected it to taste like yeast but it didn't.

  • thank you for that info. Keep watching and tell a friend.

  • you guys are fun to watch :)

  • Thank you very much. Keep watching and drink your beer from a glass.

  • Thanks Brother.

  • you should try the white chimay (triple) its even better then Duvel! if you have not tryed Duvel and Gulden Draak they are also must try triples and I do enjoy trips alot more the quads.

  • I have a bottle to review. I just have to get time to review it.

  • haha, no wonder you guys have been married for so long, you laugh and act the same ! But anyway, keep the reviews comin' I watch all of em' !!!

  • Thank you very much!!

  • Ouch! It hurts to hear someone say Chimay, one of our finest beers, is French (I know, you corrected yourself ;-) ). It is a Trappist beer, so it can never be French, because Trappists (7 of them in total) are only brewn in Belgium (and 1 of them in the Netherlands).

You should really try to get your hands on those Trappists and review them! ^^

  • Ha-ha, we completely blew it on this review but most people just see it as entertaining. Thanks for watching anyway.

  • That poor bottle of chimay. Needs to be poured into a chimay goblet (belgians are huge on glass ettiquite if you don't have the exact glass for the beer they will not drink it). also, you might want to keep the sediment seperate from the the glass as this beer is unfiltered and has a sediment at the bottom of the bottle.

  • Thank you for the info. We blew this review completely but most people just found it entertaining. Keep watching and tell a friend.

  • LOLLLOLO thumb scale, "thats you"

    "ahhhhhhh you" AHAH

    yall look happy together

but way to get a non beer drinker to review a beer haha just kidding

    entertaining review!

  • Thanks for watching our train wreck of a review.

  • I really did enjoy this review but you got alot of things wrong so I dont want to be too critical but I just wanna let you know a few things.

this beer is brewed by belgian monks and it should be enjoyed in a wine or belgian style beer glass. the red is the oldest brew this is newer stronger beer. its brewed with the trappist monk style. its also one of the most available trappist beers here in the usa.

its one very good complex beer.

    hope this helps!

  • Thanks for the great info. Keep watching and tell a friend.

  • i think chimay deserves a re review

  • This wasn't one of my better reviews, but entertaining none the less. I have 2 more Chimay's to review so that should make up for this one. Thanks for watching and tell a friend.

  • giggle monsters

  • Thanks Bro. Thanks for watching and tell a friend.

  • you make me want beer so badly seen lots of your vids all nice i want to say inspiring

  • Thank you!! Keep watching and tell a friend.

  • 4:40 THE DEMON FACE!!!!!

  • Haha you caught that. Good eye! Thanks for watching and tell a friend

  • Dude your wife is cool . your a very lucky man.

  • Thanks for watching and tell a friend

  • you have a very beautiful wife, funny review, love all the reviews. Where do you buy the beers from?

  • Thank you she loves hearing that so I will make sure to let her know. I get all my beers from about three different places where I live. Thanks for watching and tell a friend.

  • You and your wife seem to get along great with each other. she is very beautiful. you should make more videos with her, this was a very good and funny review. i love your videos

  • Thank you. We have done another video together I just need to edit and post it. Thanks for watching and tell a friend.

  • I can't believe I'm just now seeing this video. You should have your wife with you more often (she's nicer on the eyes, Joe ;)

You guys drank the heaviest of the three Chimay beers. Start with Red, then go to white, then blue

I ordered an official Chimay chalice so as soon as it arrives I'm reviewing the red!

  • Ha-ha, she is a ton easier on the eyes. We just recorded another video. We reviewed a beer she picked up from Buffalo Bill's Brewery. I should get that one posted in about two weeks. I just got the gift pack that came with the glass and was really excited to finally have one. Thanks for watching.

  • I know it's childish but I laughed my arse off when you belched. Your wife is a great sport for doing this. Keep 'em coming!

  • Thanks for watching and tell a friend.

  • Great Trappist beer i have a 750ml bottle of this beer that i keep for my birthday !

  • Thanks for watching and tell a friend.

  • i love her face when u go HIIIII and do the thing with your hands shes like, yeah am i married to this guy LOL. Im only kidding u two look like a great couple. <3 and idc nice review anyways.

  • She did look at me like that. You are the first to comment on that. She does that all the time!! Haha.

  • LOL very funny. Great review. Pretty gal lucky guy.......cheers my friend

  • Thank you. She never gets tired of hearing that. LOL

  • You two seem to have really good chemistry, and it made for an entertaining video (quality review or not). You guys could become the new "Imasofat" of youtube, if they ever choose to actually retire.

  • I would hate to compete with Gary and his wife they are great together and the original beer review husband and wife team for me. Thank you for your continued support.

  • Based on your lady, you seem like a lucky guy. I'll probably pick this brew up tomorrow. Thanks!!!

  • We didn't do much of a review. But I think everyone likes the interaction between us.

  • I agree 100% with janjohansen6.

Westvleteren 12 is far and away the best beer I've had the honor of tasting. I still have 1 unopened bottle for a special occasion that I brought back with me from De Bier Koning in Amsterdam.

I still haven't tried Orval yet, I was unaware that it was sour... this should be interesting!

I've tried a few trappists now and I've liked almost everything I've had except Westmalle Tripel and Chimay Cinq Cents (white label).

  • You'll have to let me know what you think!!

  • haha! I loved this vid! I don't know why, but your happiness is contagious.

  • Thanks for watching.

  • Thanks for taking the time to comment. You have been full of good info! There is always something to learn.

  • polarisrida69 you sound like a fuckin loser

  • Wow, you figured me out Bro. You are pretty good. You must be a detective.

  • You should do another review with your wife of Lindemans Framboise Lambic. It's a fruity raspberry beer, but she'll love it. My girlfriend always said she hated beer, but loves the framboise. It's fruity, but in a good way. Very highly rated beer.

  • I get a lot of requests to do another review with her. But it can be really hard with our schedules being so different. Thanks for watching and tell a friend.

  • what did you think of chimay? 2 thumb up?

  • It was ok, but I wouldn't get it again.

  • You should feature the Mrs. more often. She really brightens things up.

  • She is pretty popular. Lot of requests for her to do reviews. People would get tired of seeing my ugly mug. lol

  • If you can find them try La Fin Du Monde and Maudite brewed in QUebec Canada by Unibroue. You'll get your "smoke", yeasty fruity spicey flavour and smell. Two of my faves. Give them a try. Great reviews by the way!

  • If you can find them you should definitely try La Fin Du Monde and Maudite brewed in Quebec Canada by Unibroue. Two of my favourites, lots of "smoke", yeasty, spicey fruity smell and flavour, high alcohol content beers. Your wife may even like them given their French-ness!

  • Thanks for the recommendations Bro. Keep watching.

  • Do you guys have children?

  • Not together. Wow, poor things they would be really messed up!! Haha, thanks for watching.

  • you two are awsum and lagh alot which is what life is all about so thats great man, you should do more reviews together. 9% is a strong ass beer i would be on my ass after 4 of these hahaha but then again its only a smaller bottle so mabe i wouldnt lol...

  • Thanks you so much. We really do have a great time together. Thanks for watching.

  • Your wife seems to be very nice.

  • Hey thanks we have a ton of fun and get along really well. Thanks for watching!

  • NICE SMOKE!

  • Thanks for watching.

  • Oh, by the way, dunno if you know this, but you poured the remaining yeast on the bottom of the bottle in to your wifes glass, also known as sediment.

That'll make it cloudy and appear a little chunky, and in some cases it can make your beer taste horrid. In beers like this you ALWAYS want to leave one finger of liquid in the bottle. You can drink it afterwards if you want, but don't taint your beer!

  • Thanks for the reminder. I tend to forget things like this after a while.

  • haha, sorry man, I've only just recently learned all these little things myself. I'm just about 22 and jumped head first in to the world of craft beer (and brewing) immediately.

I think I might have to start posting reviews as a result of seeing yours!

We can get a little cross promotion going on, haha.

  • I have inspired a few others to review as well. We could always use another opinion out there. Go for it it's a lot of fun.

  • It depends on the style of beer, with witbiers and hefeweizens the sediment should always be poured.

  • Very true, my friend, very true.

I hadn't kept this in mind, however, I don't come across unfiltered hefeweizens too much.

Don't forget certain golden ales, such as Duvel, benefit from the sediment as well :-).

But that's why I said "beers like this"... Belgian Strong Darks, Quads, Tripels, etc.

  • The coldest hand I ever had, Amarillo, Tx,1983(?) opening a beer with a bic lighter, broke the lighter gas, came out cold

  • Funny you mention that cuz I just broke one, but it didn't leak. So I finally got a opener that takes off the caps better before I get a cold hand too. I drive a forklift from time to time and have to change the propane tank. I have had cold hands before and it sucks.

  • You're beer reviews are usually so good, the train wreck was so funny!

  • We had a lot of fun making this one. Thanks for watching.

  • metaphorically, you're wife is like a new castle brown ale hahaha..

  • That's funny. Thanks for watching and tell a friend

  • actually i have one better than that hahaha.. she's a don de dieu.. why? because and don de dieu can mean God given gift, of gift of God (object) so.. there you go. man you're videos are great, i'll tell a friend for shure. Can you try to review a swiss beer one time? because there are a bit of micro brewries there. thanks in advance.

  • Just had to come back and watch my favorite YouTube video, LMAO!!! Love your beer reviews! I hope you review Belhaven Scottish Ale, I want to see your response... it's one of my favorite tasting brews! Keep up the great reviews, peace to you and Julie!

Woody... and yes, I'm telling my friends.

  • Thank you for all your support Woody!!

  • This review was Hillarious. Awesome job. Keep up with your Great Reviews.

  • Thank you. We had a lot of fun making this video. Keep watching and tell a friend.

  • You guys make a great couple. I dont know about that beer though... ;D

  • Thank you so much. As long as she does everything she is told we get along fine. Haha.

  • This wasn't a train wreck by any means. As always, great review, full of humor, and in this case it was nice to see that you both seem very happy together! Keep 'em coming, and let the missus know that she should be a guest on another one of your reviews. Outstanding. ...those French fellows do seem to have problems when it comes to working, that's one of many reasons why dudes like you will always prevail. Cheers.

  • Thank you. You are too kind. She really wants to do another review, but we will get to that later down the road.

  • Try the whole line of them. Until recently they were $2.50 per bottle in Vietnam. Now they are $5 per bottle. Great beer.

  • Thank you so much for watching.

  • Great review and your wife is really funny. You two should do more reviews together.
