Oh no, things are so horrible, things were so much better in the...(fill in the decade). It's all a load of shite. I've been hearing this for 46 yrs. and it's still not true. Just take the era this album was released in, things were worse economically than they are now. Just a few yrs from Vietnam War, political assasinations & civil rights riots in the 60's and little over 30 yrs from WWll & the holocaust. Wow, things were so much better then. Quit looking back through rose colored glasses.

Is this really a "New Wave" album? Space Junk is the closest thing to New Wave on this C.D. and I think it's just barely New Wave, when you think about what New Wave was when it actually became a serious genre. I mean bands like Oingo Boingo, The Cars, Wall Of Voodoo, Men Without Hats, and Echo And The Bunnymen. If you think about their type of music... is this still New Wave? I firmly believe this a solid Post-Punk album no questions asked, but hey that's just my opinion. What's your's?

I remember buying the yellow album the day it came out at tower records in glendale. All of my friends were still into zepplin and genesis and aerosmith and all that long hair hippy crap.

i brought the devo album to a kegger party and waited for my chance, after about an hour i snuck it onto the turntable and everybody in the back yard just about blew their beer out their noses, WHAT the FUCK is that CRAP, Turn that shit off gary.

I made the mistake of putting Are we not men on first. ?

One of the best, most underrated bands of all time. This album and Duty Now for the Future are both gems. Though I'll admit that my favorite song is probably Wiggly World. I was lucky enough to see them live several times "back in the day", they did amazing concert sets.
