  • That looks like an ibanez rg350dx?

  • The new version of this guy is 10 times better!

  • THAT GUITAR SCARES ME.

  • legal

  • legal

  • well done..

  • awesome...try switching to your neck pickup when you go higher on your fretboard....fatter sound

  • @stripes5150 i agree also but it also depends on the distortion but most sound best on the neck pickup when you climb up higer on the neck. gets that bluesey tone to it.

  • @jbobusmaximus Actually, I heard that that Gilmour originally played the solo in the Middle position!

  • you're improvising at the end right?

  • Dude !!

  • how long did it take you to master this song?

  • @marcMLC

I was in the nut house for sex years and I gut out las monthe.

  • Nice sound dude! Exellent

  • Well done mate, really smooth, thumbs up.

  • @marcMLC

    Your reel smart.

i dont have a driver lisense.

  • @marcMLC

No it wasnt. The electric gitar was invented because regler gitars arent loud enough and they wanted to make a gitar that was real loud so peplele in the back row could here them.

    your stupid.

  • Not bad mate!

  • you sir is awesome

  • nice improv in there . . good work . .

  • awesome guitar! is it grg 370?

  • @marcMLC best comment ever...

  • it looks like my ibanez. its the rg350dx. but hey what amp, pedal and effects are you using there???? it would really help my sound thx. and are u using the mid single coil with the bridge pu or juss the bridge alone? its hard to believe the stock bridge sounds like that cuz i didnt like mine so i replaced it.

  • vai Ugur !!!!!!!!! .....bravo!!!!

  • Awesome. Thank you ! ... and thanks to Gilmour, the best !

  • this is much better then the john petrucci solo

  • You play good but you made me laugh when you shaked at 1:20

  • @stage4turbo do you mean when he shook at 1:20?

  • @zmz786 yea shook however you spell it, i was high that day :(

  • Good cover but your guitar i very noisy -_-

  • "I improvise some parts of it."

    Improvisation is awesome.

    Trey

  • i rated this as a like I'm not sure if you deliberately played it different as your own version though.

There were very different slides in there instead of the usual bends.

sound and tone were spot on.

  • waht backing track are you using?? it is awesome!!! please tell me ! I am going to play this live on monday..

  • I couldn't agree with you more, who cares who's playing it, if played correctly it sounds amazing

  • That was perfect. Excellent work.

  • Lol about Shine666, most of those perfect solo's were improvised.

    Lol

Comfortably numb is still improvised to this day by Sir David Gilmour.

Every live concert is differently accentuated. Dont call yourself Shine.

Because it implies you know much about the Floyd.

I think nobody knows anything about the Floyd.

The things portrait on Television didnt come close to how it would be in their daily lives.

  • very impresive mate :) truly touched

  • Too bad. You don't get the feel.

  • =O so awesome!!

the tone is so beautiful *.*

    Good Work ;)

  • dude u are freaking amazing im glad you improvised soe parts because it sounds like it belongs in the song

  • i think you left that guitar pregnant!! that was awesome!!!

  • best guitar solo EVER

  • Man listening to that was just the bees knees!!!!! I can't remember how the original track so I'm gonna dig up my pink floyd to listen again.

  • very nice

  • wow, you actually got this right! I mean you got the right tone and feel !!! Yeah !! Beautiful, powerful ! Love it~!

  • Güzel çalıyosun, gitarın ve kullandığın efekt aletleri nelerdir ? Bi yazabilir misin, teşekkürler.

  • You use chorus? Or if not what effect? I think you play great but that effect kinda ruins it.

  • The official is Delay effect i sounds awesome

  • excellent vid man. terrific personal arrangement of this, you really made it your own but kept it true to the original. 5/5 my friend!!!

  • nice cover watchmy version

  • i am watching this video for the 30th time since yesterday :)

  • Very perfect, keep it up guy.

I'd like to play like you.

  • i like ..(bravo)

  • Very well done !!!!!

  • Not bad, but... I dunno it just lacks the feel. I'm not saying it's bad or anything, well executed and well played, but... Some parts there just didnt have that feel.

  • @YoungGuitaristt Nobody can play this solo like Dave. Nobody.

  • Agreed. He's The Best.

  • this is a good song to jam to, just play a b minor pentatonic you can play it bluesy or hard rock, your choice

  • wish people would stop talking about "feeling" when it comes to guitar. guitar is how well you play the instrument...and yeah, u can express urself with crescendo, sticcato, diminuendo and whatever else but at the end of the day, technical ability, playin style, bends, vibrato...those are the things that create the "feeling"

  • you said guitar is about skill, but those same things that take skill are the things you consider to "create the 'feeling'"

    good paradox

  • i meant that u cant create "feeling" by just swaying with the music and shaking your head, it's all about playing style

  • @hoobastankrulez i competely agree, just by reading ur comment i can tell u are a true musician. there's technique to ever player... just some dumb fucks cant realize that. oh well

  • I believe you know what you are talking about. but I have to respectfully disagree. The technical abilities that you mentioned are important, but a person that has no feeling can have great technique and can still sound incredibly sterile. some of the greats play with great feeling and their own individual "flavor" is created through that alone. jeff beck is a perfect example, he is not a chops guy but he writes beautiful music because he is is own unique individual. people got it or they dont

  • I really love this 80's solo sound, its like a chorus, really awesome cover.

  • "I improvise some parts of it. "

and thats the way it should be with pink floyd.

    Nice job man

  • aa du är ganska bra

  • awesome

  • awesome

on a scale of 1 to 10 you get 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

  • great job buddy!

  • wooooooooooooooooooooo! congratsss

  • nice! is that an RG350DX?

  • Looks like an RG350DX with a RG350EX pickguard.

  • epic! cool playin m8

  • really good my friend....5* for you buddy!!!:)

  • @Shine666

    For you

Fail 1: It can be played on anything its the tone that counts

Fail 2: Who cares if its improvised?

Fail 3: I see nothing wrong...

    1 star for you

    >=()

  • if u love pink foyd as i do, you probably see many things aren't that good

  • Troll?

  • @Shine666 bull shit asshole, that was amazing

  • and keep the sound clear from echo

  • everything was great but wear a jean buddy! :D and how about a strat with sss pick ups for a bluesy(er) sound?

  • Love that tone what gear did you use? Amp pedals etc..

    Thanks

  • is that rg350dx ?

  • 5 STARS

    only a fail

you dont played the pinch harmonic on the beginning of this wonderfull solo

i will cover this solo tomorrow and put on my channel

    check out my channel

  • WOW very good 5 stars baby

  • Feeling comes from the vibrato. Like it or not it's the truth.

  • no feelin comes from overall playing, from the way you fret a note to striking the string. bending, pulling off, hammering on, sliding, vibrato. they all add up to make players different and unique.

  • i still think it just comes from bends, vibrato, and most of all personal opinion. I personnally thin Yngwie Malmsteen plays with loads of "feeling"

  • Yngwie playing with feeling....LOL. such an oxymoron.

  • just using that as an example

  • yngwie can play with feeling...just because he plays fast doesnt mean its without feeling (look up "guitar solo"...one of the first results is yngwie improvising a guitar solo, and it's quite full of feeling)

  • @TheWhocares233

How can you get feeling into a piano or a sax if it comes from vibrato? Yes vibrato helps but thats not all there is to it.

  • you can bend notes on a sax, man.

  • i love this song n how u play it can u send me the guitar ta for it please

  • very good my friend!!! 5*

  • how do you get that sound??

I have a fender strat and it sounds like an acoustic..??

  • sorry bro your probably not gonna be able to get that kinda sound.. if you had humbuckers it would be easier to.. but i guess you can try turning the gain and treble up on your amp. that might help a little

  • maybe you should get an amp dearborn

  • the single coil pickups dont give the same tone as his humbuckers the amout of bass ,mid ,treble, and distortion can really affect the tone of your sound though experiment with different amps and setups to find what works best for you

  • get a boss GT-10 :P anythin is possible on one of them (: even with a fender

  • it was really good but i listened to the actual song a few mins ago and i hear alot of notes out of place. that being said, he's really good and i hope to learn the song one day

  • Cool! Well Done!

  • Accorda la chitarra, pippone!

  • fairly decent, but I think you are thinking too much about the right notes when you are not improvising, and lose the "gilmour" connection with the piece when you are.

The best way to learn a solo is to "become" the player and take on the style first. Then even the "wrong" notes sound "right" because they are only "different" but played as though the original artist is playing them. You can't learn that with Tab, however. just some insight from a guy who has been playing for 35 years!

  • I agree 100%. He nailed the notes but there was no feeling whatsoever.

  • Don't talk so much shit. 'Feeling' is a myth. The sound that comes out of his guitar would be the same if he had his eyes closed and was swaying. You either like his rendition or not. Stop talking bollocks.

  • finally someone who talks some sense

  • You're right. But when they show more energy it just gets the listener/viewer involved.
