A Libertarian is a Conservative who kept his promise to keep govt out of your daily life and the central govt small and so inexpensive there is no need for an income tax (like in the 150 years before WWI when the govt got a taste for it. Being a part of the federal government as a member of the military does not condemn a person to infallible support of the federal government. In fact it probably imbues more support of liberty as the military is our defense for the free world. Defending liberty and supporting the federal government taking our freedom away by dismissing the constitution are two completely separate and unrelated concepts.
The military runs on a completely different set of ethics and morality than the federal gov. For instance Marines teach recruits that you must always do the right thing, especially when no one is looking. Big dif ehh? Soldier's OATH when sworn in, "to protect my country for all enemies, foreign and domestic'. That means from it's OWN gov''s tyranny, if need be.

You do it 1st for the oath you took( Defending the Constitution.), then for men you serve with & ur family. In military language it's called HONOR, DUTY, COUNTRY, and SERVICE. I mean, the flag is concieved from states that wanted to seceed from the US because they wanted to maintain Slavery and Inhumane treatment of Blacks. If that's how you want to be identified as supporting the flag that brandished by forces that wanted to maintain slavery, so be it.

that is a lie. we left cause the feds were raping us with their unconstitutional and unproportional taxes. slavery was not an issue at all until 2 years after the war started when dishonest abe was gettin desperate and wanted to create an uprising that never happened. the truth is that the emancipation proclamation only applied to "sites of rebellion" and western territories. it left slavery still legal in states that stayed loyal to the union such as Maryland and new jersey among others.

slavery wasent outlawed in new jersey till 1865 well after the war was over, (2 years after the hypotricital emancipation proclimation). if the federals were really fightin to end it why did they still allow it at home?

Oh, really. I'm glad we have such a great historian like you to explain that the civil war was not about slavery, but instead about taxes and of course the federal government trying to force policy on the states(abolition). So if the south would have won, would you have embraced slavery?

absolutely not. grant, shearman, and lincolns family owned slaved. General Lee and president Davis did not. the federally controlled schools are teaching huge piles of lies and historical revisionism.

What does who's families owned slaves have to do with the issue of the confederate army fighting to keep slavery law? Facts are that the confederate army killed US citizens to maintain slavery as law. Slaves weren't escaping to the north to become part of Lincoln, Grant, or Sherman's plantations, they were escaping for freedom. Seems as if you, Mark Stanford, and Rick Davis want to bring the 1850's back.

It wasn't a Commie like "technique" because I'm not communist. Pointing out people who celebrate the confederate is not time vetted. We know one thing for sure, Sanford is not a communist. He'll let South Carolinians starve and their school rot before he accepts federal money.
