I hate the way the insist on saying he is seeing using his ears. So, um, he can hear then? It sounds retarded. I can excuse the mother explaining it to him that way after his operation, what with him being a little kid who has just had his eyes cut out, but from professionals it gets tedious.

Not taking anything away from the kid, it was a pretty neat trick but it most definitely wasn't seeing. Echolocation sounds equally impressive as seeing with your ears.

Not really. Most video games have noises that people with sight ignore, but things like combos, characters, environments, ect., would all have their own sounds. All it would take is remembering the noise with the pattern of hitting the buttons. In the end it would really come down to what game he was playing. Mortal Kombat, for example, would be a breeze.
