Singapore Airlines may have nice food serves (4 stars) and sometime good and not so good service due to moodiness or bad personality (2 stars) but when it come to prompt service and sincerity, I give Malaysian Airlines 5 stars anytime.

Malaysia Airlines FTW. Once on a flight from Sydney to KL, I saw and old woman trying to get out of her seat to open the overhead compartment. A flight stewardess saw her struggling and without hesitating, went straight over to the woman and helped her get what she needed. I have to say their service is beyond 5 stars.

It is easy to identify whether it B777 or B747. B777 has very nicely designed overhead stowage compartment. It curves to the ceiling.

hmmm......got that from skytrax eh? Lets seem so other bits shall we? SQ has gotten more Y awards than both those airlines combined. And I never said that seat pitch wasn't a major criterion for Y class, it always has. But read my ccomment again, SQ uses a new design which makes the seat in front thinner to save leg space. When reclined, the seat base slides forward to also maximise space. Also, the lack of an IFE box underneath the seats adds to the space.

I even said "MH is nice too." I myself have sat in those seats (not flown in them though, I have relatives in SQ) and they definitely make a difference over the old Y seats on the B744.

I have heard negative things about CX's new economy. The new seat cushions give neck and back pain reports have said. When reclined, although there is no intrusion on the pax behind, the seat cushion merely slides forward and is not comfortable. I still prefer the new SIA Y as it uses traditional economy but combines the sliding seat cushion technology. It also has major service improvements. People have told me that the new SIA product is DEFINITELY better.

MH's Economy has 34in seat pitch compared to SQ's pathetic 32inch. The only improvement in SQ Economy is 1in wider seat but the pitch remains at cramped 32in.

haha kepundengz, my comment was said jokingly, re-read it and its quite obvious. I said "SQ's new economy is so much better! hahaha, just kidding, MH is nice too."

Oh and SQ's economy is 2 inches wider, which makes a bigger dif compared to 2 inch in pitch. It also uses a new design which maximises knee space, its an idea that saves space on the plan while giving more to passengers. Do research before trying to flame me, and don't lash out at my comments before properly reading them.

If I did NO research then I wouldn't even know what seat pitch is. But I know the facts too, and it's the seat pitch that becomes a major criterion when people talk about economy class, no matter whatever your "reasoning" to make up for SQ's lack of 2" legroom in this bread-&-butter class.
