Tutorial Diary:: How I'm keeping busy

Art, years pass, so many hours of finding my heart, like your rows of petals, over and over again. Filling the magic when it is right in fingers, then to clay, and on to bronze sculpture.

For 2 decades I have created, taught, won awards and felt the joys of my soul singing. As i see yours. Yes to watch your video,I realized what I was seeing. What,true art is. Wow! And I thought that I kept busy. xD After watching this I started thinking, "Oooh, I should try working with polymer clay." As soon as my hubby see's me starting a new project though he'll have a cow, lol. Anyways, this was totally awesome! You're so amazing!! :o

i feel your pain on the whole clay rose thing... i took me a good 5 hrs to create just one... and i had to make 2 *___*... but your work is AWESOME... it inspires me :3... however i feel like i'm getting myself into too much trouble @__@... fabrics, paint, clay, drawing... it's all meshing together and i get easily distracted too... not good... but GREAT WORK :3 (off to go make a tsumami kanzashi... (my latest distraction heeh :3)

Not to flatter myself, but I'm doing -much- better now. I've been making them with felt, clay, and paper and they're sooooooo much more natural. I think at first I just wasn't paying attention to the way roses -really- looked and so it just wasn't happening. I'm glad that you liked them alright though. I can be pretty critical of myself, but being critical is how one improves, I suppose.

amazing is just the word. considering the fact that my idea of keeping busy is reading a book and eating a candy bar. but hey i can go with phenomenal instead. ^ _ ^

XD Oh god, please don't! I'm too shy for that. There's nothing wrong with reading a book. I actually spend most of my time 'keeping busy' by role playing. For every hour of art I do, I spend at least four sitting around RPing online with friends.

Interesting you should say that. I started teaching myself art in 2002 because I was bored and had nothing to do with myself (besides role playing all the time! XD) Before that I had never really done anything artistic besides being a musician.

I think if you're feeling bored, that's the perfect reason to pick up art. There are so many things to do and it can really help give you something to love doing. Staring at the wall or the TV is for n00bz. >.> XD DO ART! n.n Make art videos on YouTube!

Oh man. XD You're embarrassing me! Thanks very much. I don't really consider it being gifted- I never really did art before 2001/2002. I just decided I needed something in my life "for me" and kept on teaching myself and practicing and improving. Anybody can do that- I think it has nothing to do with gifts, just a good attitude and dedication, y'know? But thank you! You're a doll!
