that's true because most candian and american people who speak spanish are latin american and therfore hispanic. I don't speak spanish, however my ancestry traces back to Toledo spain and then Morroco. i come form a spehardic jewish background and people are alays shocked when i say we are decendants of spanish jews..it's just ignorance.
