Absolutely Bloody Brilliant..I'm just gonna have to try and get my hands on the DVD version of this concert..I wish I'd seen them live back in the 80's...Damn
Saw these guys at Six Flags in 87!! they were great and the crowd loved them. the whole album Broadcast is so good and brings back my youth when I here it! I was 21 and had my whole life ahead of me. I think about the beautiful Swedish girl and the wonderful day we had at Six Flags listening to these guys at the brand new ampatheater!!
This is a classic case of an awesome and naturally talented band who suffered at the hands of the music industry never really getting the credit they deserved.
McMichael and Eede were a tremendous songwriting partnership which tragically ended too early.
hey mr. cutting crew , thanks for the great song and memories man!!! this song is positive , the band moves on!! great live performance, heard this song track on the movie 'CAN'T BUY ME LOVE" with dempsey and the beautiful amanda peterson.. nice job!!!
I will say Kevin Scott MacMichael was an absolute dynamo with the guitar! In fact, I may have to declare him my favorite guitarist, albeit favorite deceased guitarist. Now I need to find a favorite living guitarist.
what i always kinda thought was cool about this band was that they played those charvel guitars that were like "hair metal" guitars. pop bands of this time period would maybe play a fender or a gibson. just a little "guitar nerd" stuff there.
This song reminds me of some of the best days of my childhood. Its funny how such a simple song can make you look back with such longing and reverance.
Oh. By the way everyone. The song was in the movie "Valley Girl". With Nicholas Cage and Deborah(HOT)Foreman. Music in the movie was mainly top notch of the times("I Melt with You"-Modern English). This song is played at the party Nick crashes early in the film. Valley girls...did that just give you a funky ass slap in the face or what. 1983
There are rare songs, that people will collect like rubies(more rare than diamonds). And a true collector brings them out to show others, that he has a deeper appreciation for gems. I've always carried this one with me. It may not have thrown the light of diamond upon release, but you sure can still feel the energy. Your right driftingtheworld. Most of this was heard to the rolling hills of Westlake in Austin.
you know the broad cast album is great for long drives out in the country... the album for the time was really almost ahead of it's self... some parts of the album if you were not a fan was a little too much t.v like music, meaning it was a good movie sound track
or perfect for a show... but the other half was right on... as well, when they wrote a hit it was haunting... great hooks...
yeah thanks for the good vibe... you know to really live is to experience many aspects of life and music is a form of life... great that you are so open... keep living well dude
amen. i jam Tears for Fears and then turn around and bump up some grind-core, black or death five minutes later. Fuck assimilation! saw TFF a few years ago live and they kicked ass.
excelent song!!!! I always tried to get the original video, but never succesfull... this is a good reminder that there were good bands back in 80´s... great memories!!
A trip down memory lane!!!! Saw these guys years and years ago at the Assembly Hall, Tunbridge Wells - awesome. Turns out that my now husband was at the same gig although we didn't meet until years later ....
thanks to youtube creator i can still hear & feels the good memories of the fast(80's) like this song performed by one of my best band "cutting crew" LONG LIVE!
