@fed112004 I agree, if people pay attention they can see where to measure, add seam allowance, etc. But I don't think she needs to talk in her videos. She isn't promoting this as a how to sew video, it is a project tutorial for people who already know the basics of sewing. If someone wants to learn to sew there are plenty of videos and websites avaliable that explain sewing step-by-step. Then they can come back and try out one of Gianny's projects.

What she did in the entire video is pretty self explanatory after you see the main shape she cuts out. Just pause, sketch on a piece of paper or write down, and you should be fine. I didn't realize what she was doing until 2:46 and the rest of the steps were just sewing. Easy enough.

I have no problem understanding what you are doing in your videos. I consider myself a beginner and I have made a couple of tops using your method of just using a shirt I already like and tracing around that for the shape I want. its not hard to tell whats shes doing. she relly don't measure anything except the width adn length. everything else is just whatever she wants. the way she does it makes it where anyone can follow along with her video, becasue if she jsut did english, oteher languages wouldn't understand.

if you want tofind out exactly whats shes doing, look up how to make a one shoulder dress on google, folow those instructions, then add a belt. =.=

So you can see where the stitches go. The stitches will disappear into the seam anyways.

The reason why she doesn't speak or write is so that EVERYONE can understand. There's MANY people that don't speak English you know, so that's why she doesn't do that. She doesn't wan to side with one specific group.

If you REALLY pay attention it shouldn't be that hard. Besides it's a video, you can always re-watch it. PLUS, her measurements are NOT going to be your measurements, take that in mind!

@Salir I think that the people asking for written or spoken instructions are not trying to be a pain for anyone. The fact is that people learn differently. Some are visual learners (videos, photos, drawings), others learn more easily by just reading and others by just listening, and then there are the ones that learn with a combination of visual and writing or listening and writing or visual and listening, etc. Please take in mind too.
