  • We are located in Racine WI. Will see what i can do for you.

  • Where about are you?

Like to start a similar system -ASAP - think u could give a helping hand???

  • I wanted to know what is the blue tub call?

  • I've been looking at various sites about tilapia & aquaponics. I was curious as to what made you decide to do fish only & not tie it into gardening. Not hating, Just curious. I've read that duckweed is great for fish food. I know in my state a permit is required to raise certain breeds of fish, doesn't seem like it's too much hassle to get though. Thanks for posting your videos.

  • @forgotmylogininfo This video is just of the fish side. On the other side of the wall is the lettuce growing area. As long as you have a closed system the permits should be easy to obtain.

  • what is the average cost of this setup? utility & feed expenses & what is your output for fish & veggies? Just curious

  • What is the annual yield are you getting in pounds of Tilapia per tank per year?

  • I would disagree that it is a stupid rule, as much of a pain as it can be we don't have to look hard to see the results of accident introduction of species into a new environments. We don't actually bread the fish, but there is a hatchery down in Florida that may be a good source for you, company name is tilapiaseed unfortunately youtube wont let me put a link up to the site.

  • @NaturalGreenFarms BTW if you edit the video description box you can copy & paste a url link & it will work. You can also add annotations with a link too.

    I hope this helps.

    :)

BTW I am very interested in aquaponics - been looking at various systems & looking to start small. Your info & site (which you should link in the description box) is very interesting.

    Keep up the good work,

    Steve from Colorado

  • I would like to add tilapia to my catfish operation, but the dnr will not allow it unless it is in a closed system and no chance of them getting into our waterways to over populate. What a stupid rule. I live in Augusta ga and in the winter, the water is cold enough to have 100 percent die off. Still, if I could get some at a reasonable price i would try them for my pesonal use.

  • what is the fish to gallon ratio

  • @amtanner560 100 fish per gallon
