@reliablebow Thank you so much for your lovely comment on my painting and for subscribing to my channel ... and yes, Emmylou is a legend and an inspiration :)
@Bondidog> Hi Adriana, this track is from the Wreckingball album, produced by Daniel Lanois, who does invest a particular quality to his projects..magical and atmospheric. He also plays guitars & mandolin on this track. The piano, drums, bass & tambourine are played by Malcolm Burn, who also gets special credit in the notes 'for his innovative sound, his song & arrangement ideas'. Good question... many thanks for asking :) Nikki
I've always believed that it is the story of two Red Indians, (Native Americans); Black Hawk and White Winged Dove, who fell in love while enjoying the free life on a reservation 'on the banks of Lake Black Bear', but who migrated to Pittsburgh, where Black Hawk worked in Dofasco's steelworks, while White Winged Dove worked in a bookstore in St. Clair. They yearn for their roots while living the typical American life. ('drinking at Liberty Station).
Whitedove I'm here, and still loving you my Cherokee Princess...Lonewolf. {Comanche}

Is this another song with mark Knopfler? Just has that "All The Road Running" sound but it isn't from that album.

I was wondering, what exactly is this song about? I can't find why she wrote it anywhere and I would really like to know
ilurvepanic 2 years ago
The song is written by Daniel Lanois. I've heard that he grew up in a small industrial town and the song is about two people from that town.
