I was 19 in 1993 & I can't remember if I was still going down there then. Seaside was starting to go downhill around that time, wasn't what it used to be.
On a weekend in 1960 a friend and I walked into a rented bungalow about ¼ mile from the boardwalk. A gal was working on the doo of another one. My friend and I sat down and exchanged barbs with them. That night, we wandered the boardwalk & beach with them. The recipient of the hair job was my friends girlfriend, Janet. I married the stylist about 1 ½ years later, and now 50 years later, Ellen and I are still exchanging barbs and wandering the beach.
Oh man! I started dating my ex boyfriend that easter and we spent almost every weekend that summer in seaside! Oh the memories..a total Jersey girl with her guido. yikes!
