If they would take the money the JA spends trying to bring more people and spend it on taking care of those there, things would be a lot better for everyone.
And here is another song that expresses the Aliyah experience of thousands
Through the mirror of my mind/Time after time/I see reflections of you and me/Reflections of/The way life used to be/Reflections of/The love you took from me
Oh, I'm all alone now/No love to shield me/Trapped in a world
That's a distorted reality/In you I put/All my faith and trust
My advice for anyone considering Aliyah. Stay away from the Jewish Agency. Spend time living and working in Israel and try living off of your Israeli salary only.
Reminds me of this song by the Gang of Four, "Call me up, if I'm home/Dont say too much, I might be upset/Let us agree to differ
We're consumed by competition/Having fun is my reason for living.../We are all in competition/Better move fast gobble up your dinner/Take a tip - get hip!
It's not so bad in the promised land.../Children of the pleasure culture/Who must be grateful for what we've got/Happy smiles in sunny climes/So don't upset the ice-cream cart"
I don't know a word of Hebrew, but if he actually sings "smoke" why not translate it completely word by word and put in double points the artist didn't intend?
what kind of a politically correct moron translated this?
it says "all i got to smoke [weed] is local stuff". Big difference that apparently the organizations supporting the "translation" of this video didn't want to see? There's more there like that. Puhlease.
Also, if you don't get it from the mention of Amsterdam coffeeshops then maybe it's best that the translation isn't thrust in your face. If you understand it, you understand it, if not, so what?

Good song but i think it's too pessimistic about the greatest country in the world.

Your translation doesn't flow easily.
Also, if you don't get it from the mention of Amsterdam coffeeshops then maybe it's best that the translation isn't thrust in your face. If you understand it, you understand it, if not, so what?
