Try keeping Tifa at low HP, use Death Sentence on her, and then use Deathblow =]

Pair Deathblow up with Added Cut when you get it later =D

I hope you didn't sell Tifa's Powersoul weapon.

It's VERY broken at that point in the game, and if you employ it right it will let you cause 9999 damage per hit with deathblow at your levels.

I never sell weapons, I like to keep em even if I don't use them anymore.
