  • why Jack will always be the greatest is he has something Tiger will never have--CLASS

  • THE GOLDEN BEARS RECORDS ARE SAFE.

  • Don't forget Hogan's career hurt by car accident and WW 2 . I agree Tiger's competition has been lame .

  • Loved that wink comment...lol

  • Back in Nicklaus' day players didn't just try to keep their pga card they played to win. If you didn't finish in the top 5 you didn't win shit. Nowadays a golfer can win a million in a season and never finish in the top ten. Pathetic. As I said Tiger doesn't have the competition Nicklaus faced. When the field lets a man with one leg win the us open it shows there is not a man among them. Rocco knew he had to birdie the last whole and then hooks his ball into the rough. Pathetic.

  • NICKLAUS is by far the greatest player ever to have lived, 18 majors, 19 2nd's and had to play others that knew how to win , like Palmer, Hogan, Trevino, Player. Tiger is a great player, but he beats people who don;t know how to win and doesn;t beat greats, he just beats players who are scared and nervous, to beat Palmer, you have to be the greatest and Jack did that! He is the Master! The End

  • They were or are the best of their respective periods. But Jack had better competition. He competed against Palmer, Player, Trevino, Watson all in their primes. Trevino said that if Nicklaus played with the equipment and balls of today he would drive the ball 400 yds. Kenny Perry recently said that over the last 4 years his swing speed has decreased 5 mph but his distance has increased 6 yds. As far as Tigers competition he has none, as witnessed at the last US open.

  • when you listen to niklaus in these interviews and read between the lines you can hear the resentment for tiger woods. I'll bet he thought for years that no one would ever come close to challenging his records, so now he makes all these excuses for why he didn't win more tournaments, "I lost interest", etc. It's kinda pathetic. He's obviously still struggling to come to terms with seeing someone surpass so many of his accomplishments

  • Your also far wrong on that, you obviously don't play golf. I'm from a golfing family. A couple of us pros, watch golf, breathe golf. Jack will be happier for Tiger than anybody besides Tiger. You need to either watch more golf/interviews or just grow up a bit.

  • well whoopty-doo, so you're from a golf family. what do you want, a gold star on your forehead. that still doesn't mean that you know the innermost thoughts of every golfer on the planet.

  • Your obviously a ghetto golfer , if at all. Your loss. What do you want a Gold Star on your head because your a tiger fan? Grow up, what are you still in your 20's and listen to rap, have a Allen Iverson jersey on, attempting at golf. OOOPPS, Sorry, call your buddies ..the ACLU on me.

  • whatever, better to be a "ghetto golfer" as you call it than a closet homo with an intense man crush on jack nicklaus. I'll bet you lock yourself in a room for hours jerking off to old videos of the '86 masters. by the way, it just happens to be 2 "ghetto tennis players" that are beating the crap out of everyone else on the women's tour. I'm sure you know who I'm referring to

  • What a classless post.

  • thanks

  • Love Jack, still the Greatest and class wise will never be surpassed by Tiger.

  • yea, that's all you niklaus apologists have to cling to, isn't it

  • Can't help you jump on every bandwagon around. Never saw Jack looking for preferential treatment, cussing, slamming clubs. Those who are against those with class obviously have none themselves.

  • Just because you acknowledge someone's accomplishments doesn't mean you're on their bandwagon. I don't necessarily even like woods all that much. but woods' character flaws aside, I, unlike you, am able to look at it from a purely objective standpoint. and in doing so, it's clear that woods is the greatest to ever play. if some of you jack apologists would grow up you would realize that at the same time it doesn't make nicklaus any less great
