Research John Taylor Gatto and his many great essays regarding "schooling". Also look up Stephan Molineux aka stefbot on youtube. Coercive / non-voluntary systems should be resisted.
Sure it is about theft. Also it is about the perpetuation of theft. Children brought up within theft based coercive systems(government schools) tend to perpetuate these systems or at least refuse to resist them. I have several youngins that have been taught that stealing is wrong especially when the government does it. To allow my children to participate in the government school is an open admission to all the world and my kids that theft is just dandy. Ergo, my children shall not attend.
i agree school systoms suck they let us out when thier is like no snow on the roads and ive been in lots of trubel at schoool couse im get to school late in the winter couse i just ride around with my dad in the snow plow and so i get thier late
@onelonleyfarmer School boards are dumb and don't care just like the teachers they don"t care about education for the kids they just do it so they earn money and have a job and half of the time the teachers doddle with themselves instead of teach the kids.
how is your bedpan banjo coming and did you have to use either on the 5020 this time?
I agree with you when ever the weather man says it's going to snow or ice they go ahead and close the schools here I live in Alabama and when we get snow the whole city where I live just shuts down. It does make one wonder just what the hell they were thinking maybe a few law suites might change there minds, just hate to see children hurt or scared for life beacuse of some DUMB ASS SCHOOL BOARD take care and becareful and keep warm.
my brother said it best, Most people in the world are stupid. Some chinese dude said, He who knows not and knows not that he knows not is" simple". I would change simple to "an Administrator". glad your kids are OK!
Yeah I agree with you. I have worked with alot of college educated people who have no common sense at all. Driving in that kind of weather is just asking for trouble.
You are correct with your thinking about the schools but if they did close a number of times and the teachers had their summer vacation messed up the school officials would have a good chance of getting threats from teachers if not actual violence. A school district near us threatened to go on strike and one of their issues was the Kindergarten teachers had the responsibility of making sure their students get on the right bus. The teachers felt this should not be their responsibility.
It's those teachers. They bitch at administration when work cuts into their summer vacation. Teachers could care less about students. Without the contract they would be out of work in a heartbeat!
my schools even stupider we had 2ft of snow in 3 hours and they still had us come to school iy started snowing at like 4:30 in the morning and ended at like 3:00 we got 4 ft of snow
i agree with you 100 percent our school is the same way except down here we dont have snow, but 2 years ago when it rained almost 2 foot in 24 hours they said what the hell lets have school i think out of all the school buses we have only 4 or 5 maid it to school the rest were stuck in a ditch somewhere i hate dumass folks
you are right i agree, here in Ireland the buses would not run for health and Safety concerns, we had bad weather before christmas all schools were closed.
my school did the same thing about two weeks ago. we had a ton of school and buses wrecked and there were guys showin up a hour late just because they wouldn't cancel.
Sadly the schools aren't actually about education anymore... It's a business venture.. If they can get that 1/2 day in they get paid... Follow the money!
wow thats a little wierd people getting hurt and buses stuck doesnt work with me
if its snowing like that they shouldnt have buses run and if it does just start say in the after noon and they want there day bad enough why dont they just have storm place or something where the buses dont run and the kids stay at a freinds place in town for the night it would be a bit easer than roll or get a bus stuck
and if you dont want the snow send it here to saskatchewan we could use it
It looks like they think the same everywhere... When I was in high school in southern Quebec, they could close the school when there only was a light snow falling with no storm ahead, but then when the road was full of black ice, the school was open!!! They opened it because they were lacking "snow storm days" and, as you said, they didn't wanted to finish the school year later in june...
Here in Canada we have the same problem with our division. We have buses in the ditch alot and yet they put us in danger. It's also the same on cold days,(-40*C) not sure in *F but still. I also think our division guy has no kids and also live a block or so from the office. So If he has nothing to lose he doesn't care.
Possibly there but over here in C A N A D A in December we had 3 snow days in a row and another one the week after. I live in the city and the main roads are constantly plowed I'am not complaining but it seems there wiser here. Yea you may think Canada gets alot of snow but where Iam from(South Ontario) its really not bad but when the roads are shit they know when to give us the day and for that I thankyou ldcsb.
my superintendent sits in his office and hides when he fucks up on snow days, he doesnt answer calls or talk to anyone he just hides. We have quite a few Snow days here in Nebraska.
boy they really want the parents to go out of there way because they cant bde botherd to shut down a school for a day. its a matter of safety not how much money they loose in a day because its safer to close for the day. my school used to do that all the time. the reason was they wanted there state grant or some kinda grant that was based on attendance. people have no common sence any more its all comes back to money one way or another.
i lived in nj a few years ago. i remember being in school with 3 or 4 feet of snow on the ground. my brother's bus had to get pulled out a few times. now, i live in nc and have the exact opposite problem. the minute that a snowflake falls, we're out of school. it's nice, but our school cuts out long weekends and makes us come to school on saturday to make up the days. literally, we've been out of school because there was too much ice on the GRASS
I was on one of those buses and we got in an accident at about 6:55 someone rear ended us bcause he couldnt stop there was fire trucks, state police, and the rescue squad and we were fine. We didnt get to school til 8:30
same in england wont shout ower school they dig it out amd say school is open not thinking about us people in the cuntrey side and it takes my bus an hour and sheat ice roads dont help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was a kid during the big blizzard of 1977 (google it) And the schools didnt cancel when the storm started in the morning. Living on a farm out in the sticks mom kept us home anyway. The storm turned out to be one of the biggest in out area in modern history and kids were stranded in school for almost 2 weeks. The snow in some areas were at high as the hydro wires.
Here in Oklahoma we get mostly ice. Every school was closed one day last week except my kids so we took them to school the ice storm/ sleet stopped at 12:00 so they had us pick them up at 12:00 by 4:30-5:00 every thing was mostly dried up and no problems. Idiots

One of my classes was me, the teacher, and another girl that goes to my school. The rest of them had a small handful of kids in there.
