  • Yummy!

  • There's lots of disinformation in this video, but this method will work.

  • Hot lady? How is she hot? Please explain i would really like to know

  • wheres your pencil eraser???? removing dirt's all fine and dandy but what of the "corrosion"??? cant clean something you cant see,you OPEN the cart, use your method first, then scrub all those "spots" that seem to just never go away with the eraser. also fyi, "too much alcohol" will not harm the cart, you can set the chip on fire then clean it with gallons of it and it will still work fine, and "rattling" is just plastic chips from the frame, has nothing to do with performance. educational, think not!

  • So I should rub it and not blow it?

  • don't blow in it huh? but you just did!!!

  • She's a hottie+I can buy my games & hav no probs now!

  • tummy

  • hot lady? wtf?

  • The ratle is a tiny peace of plastic that broke of all of mine that ratled when I opened there was a tiny peace of plastic that just broke off.

  • What if you cleaned it well like in the video and it still wont play? and your system is in great conditions?

  • @fudgepacksack haha that shit hella funny

  • A few games of mine have the rattling, but they work fine. Would it affect the game later on, though, like when I reach the last few levels because a particular chip is rattling around?

  • ROFL! Do you get this a lot? A bunch of guys hitting on you because you're a woman that plays games? XD

Btw. I'm happy there's another woman out there who knows what she's doing with systems! Props to you! ^_^

  • i think shes good looking beacuse i like my woman like her normal sized not to fat and not super skinny

  • @montork

... er... get out more my man!

  • alcohol doesnt effect copper cartridges..... so guys stop saying you will ruin the game. it's pretty hard too screw the game up unless you do like she said, put too much in there.

  • I always blew in my cartridges...I just used the Q-Tip to dry out my mouth before I blew so I didn't get spit in it :B oh...btw your hot.

  • i dont trust it, because it said not to use any alchohol.

  • lady cleaning the games=black man's dream

  • use neither alchohol or windex. i saw a video that shows you to use an eraser. thats what ive been doing with all the games ive been picking up recently and they all work flawlessly. that and if its a top loading system like a snes or a genesis, you should clean the pin connectors with a cotton t shirt and an id card or a credit card. just wrap the shirt around the card, lightly wet it then go in and out and clean the inside. learned that one from lukemorse1

  • @SkankinDevil89

You're supposed to use the eraser first, then windex / alcohol it up.

  • Hottie...

  • Thanks for the tips - my copy of Dragons Fury on the Mega Drive stopped working tonight, I'm off to the store to get some cue tips!

  • DO NOT USE ALCOHOL !!! Use Windex alcohol will ruin your game over time

  • I just got my 4.5 & 3.8 Bits.

I've cleaned all of my cartridge games, but since I opened them up It is hard to believe how dirty game cartridges get inside.

  • Is ok To use 70% Alchohol becuase Im using that to clean my Atari Carts and they're working great. But I want to make sure that Im not damaging them.

  • Word of advice, your games will eventually stop working after time if you do the following things to them. A. Blowing in them (results in rust over time due to moisture in ur breath. B. 50% alcohol you'll get the same result due to the other 50% water (moisture again). She is doing it the right way, good work..

  • I've been blowing into my SNES cartridges for 10 years, and they all work perfectly. It's alcohol that will fuck the electronics up, not miniscule amounts of saliva.

  • That's incorrect. Water causes things to rust theirs moisture in ur breath so its the same result. The trick is to dry it, after you clean it with the alcohol...

  • If I blow on my hand, it doesn't get wet. There's so little saliva which is expelled when you blow that it's completely negligable. Sure, alcohol probably works as well, but blowing into your cartridge doesn't damage it.

  • i know what i`m taking about (over the years meaning you blowing everytime) to your game to work. Think about it, every single time you blow in it, your putting more & more saliva, over time it will fuck it up, like I said about water to metal but I guess your to stupid to understand that basic fact that everyone knows...

  • Yes, I'm far too stupid to understand your masterful knowledge of cartridges. It doesn't really matter, I'm just saying that none of my cartridges have been damaged after years and years of blowing into them.

  • Yes, yes you are......lol. just kidding, anyways, ya I guess do whatever works for you (is the main point)

    Cheers.

  • u can blow in it but i recommend if u have saliva in ur mouth in that moment then swallow it make sure there isnt any then blow in while u have the chance

  • I use 50 50 isopropyl alcohol and water, and it works pretty good, but anything north of that would kill the cartridge.

  • DO NOT USE! alcohol because it could get inside the cartridge and screw up the mainboard!!!

  • @SlavjanA it'll most likely evaporate before it does any sort of damage.

  • Comment removed

  • it says on the back of all cartridges not to use alcohol...

  • this persion is rong. if you folow this video you will have games covered with white residue after it dried. what you should do is open the cartrige and after it drives whipe it with a clean cotton colth. and for thoes who dount have the tools to open it just mix 2 parts 91 percent alcahul to 1 part white viniger and 1 part water. then you will not have residue but do have to clean a little harder. also works great on windows and game cases and cds.

  • Some people use water on a q-tip. I was told do use water or windex. Other users have told me that rubbing alcohol is too strong, and can corrode the chip.

  • Ready, Aim, FIRE!!!!!!!!!!

  • its nice to see a girl who likes video games more than make up lol!!

  • i have that same entertainment center

  • I use alchohol too, but i wanted to add that if you need to blow on it real quick what i do is i put my shirt over it then blow. But your video is the to clean it.

  • i want S.N.E.S. and Sega Genisis so bad thats all i want right now

  • Well I don't need to clean like that, My games are like 7 or 9 years old and they work just fine :)

  • ok nintendo old why not get rid of the lock out chip instead. That is unless you are affraid of voiding your warranty oh yeah year check 2009. Aside from this I use 70 percent not as strong. As far as the people who use windex, how do you figure it's better. I have known windex to be more abrasive that alcohol.

  • use windex instead

  • how would you clean a SEGA Genesis ?

  • Horay!!! Thanks alot! X3!

  • Hi Thanks for trying to help people . But with all due respect the alcohol is actually to strong and will cause more damage in the long run to the plastic and fiberglass components.

May I please suggest look into this and find I'm right and redo your vid using a glass cleaner like Windex. That's all the strenght you need and it works. Please this is bad advice and I know you are trying to help people.

    Cheers

  • I have a question, Would a cleaning agent, kinda like windex, work as well?

  • It will work better than the alcohol. She is right in this video to not blow on the game. It is the acid in the saliva that can cause damage.

  • ye girl, he has a point, windex (or windolene to brits) is the best thing you can use. I hear you can can use come COLD water with a TINY TINY amount of washing up liquid in it. Hope this advice helps!

  • Wow a girl with sexy glasses telling me how to clean my carts....my dream has come true! Keep up the good work!

  • A knowedgeable girl gamer! Kickass!!

  • cool thanks for the tip I will try it out for sure I like your systems collection is sweet !

  • two of my games rattle but they work fine

  • I don't know if the chips can become dislodged that easily, as they're soldered in place. The only way to find out is to open the cart -- you can buy the special screwdriver bits online.

The rattling often turns out to be plastic from inside the cartridge, or a small broken-off corner of the circuit board. Or, it may not be the cartridge at all, but the console's connector causing the problem. The original NES is *notorious* for this -- fortunately, replacement connectors are available.

  • use Windex more safer...

  • use a plain Q TIP!!

  • don't do it!! using alchohol on cartridges makes it really brittle! it breaks really easy after using alchohol

  • blowing is the most efficient way to clean it. the spit is the problem, so just pull your shirt over the cartridge and blow and it works just as well without the spit factor.

  • hot gamer lady!

  • Keep pointing out the obvious, there. Chicks dig that.

  • seriously she may not realize how hot she is, im trying to honestly tell her shes attractive.

  • It would at least appear that you were making a generic observation along the lines of "OMG, Girl who plays games!", the likes of which are annoying even to read, much less I'm sure to receive. Might I recommend a more thorough attempt next time...

  • ok sure sorry, im a girl gamer too so im not surprised that much i just like to complement where complements are due, im not as attractive my boy likes me though, most girls get self conscious i wanted to re-assure her it was cool if she likes games and yes shes hot.

  • I like her hair X3!

  • the back of cartrages it says not to use alcahol and the reason why is it is to strong for the connectores use windex insted

  • thanks for the tip!

  • i know someone who licks it and it works xD sounds weird

  • Wow it does XD!

    And it worked O_o woah

Your friend must have magic spit! xD!!

  • lol, yea, still gross to me xDD

  • i have a habit of blowing into cartridges all the time even if it doesn't need it lol

  • aint you a few centuries late??

  • hehe

  • Haha hell yea. I use my professional cleaning kit on mine, and sometimes it works. Or if im to lazy i just get a q tip and swab it with some alcohol and give it a good swipe :). I do love my nes but i recently purchased a toploader for 10 bucks!! And i love the thing because i dont have to blow in the cartridges as much as i had to for the original NES. Good video!!

  • cool ^_^
