I love Russian ballet when I'm 14 I am going to fly down to Russia and audition for the Kirov and If I do not make it then when I am 15 I am going to audition for the Bolshio
@supnaturalgirl Um, I hope you know the Kirov is a professional ballet company. So is the Bolshoi. You don't show up at 14 and audition for them- they only take adults, sometimes 16-17 year olds. 90% of the recruits come from their schools. If you meant you want to audition for their school, they're not named after the companies, and I sure hope your parents have the 10 grand a year the school charges foreigners who attend. Quite simply: your plan is not realistic.
These future ballerinas are studying in a very ancient institution: Moscow State Academy of Choreography. The first lessons... the first steps... The young pupils have a very busy schedule. As in any Soviet school, education is free. Still, only children with special skills are accepted.
The theatre of the Bolshoi has always been the most frightening stage for me. I have danced a lot, almost everywhere. I have always had stage fright, but never such as at the Bolshoi. I have danced at the Opéra de Paris, in Argentina, at Covent Garden, at the Metropolitan Opera. Of course, I was always scared, but it was never like here. However, when I came back home after a tour and when I did perform at the Bolshoi, I had the feeling to find what was most important.
We have very special teaching methods. They were created by our own professors. It is our secret and we keep it off. Still, we must recognise that the Russians have very special abilities in ballet. They are naturally given skills in classical dance. Russian character seems to be made for ballet. We find this predisposition in the dancer's figure and in his physical skills. Russians are also talented for musicality. Everything finds its origin within tradition.
One... Two... it rhythms your whole life. One... Two. Aha, these are the boys. "Go on! Go on! Don't be disturbed." I don't think ballet is conservatism because it concerns any dancer. It is the basis of any choreography, any artistic movement.
Kyril is more often ill than his brother Igor is. Last September, he collapsed while in class. When he regained consciousness, it was discovered that he actually had not had breakfast. He hadn't had time. Well, he thought about this. "You have understood, haven't you?" We talked about good alimentation before lessons. It is a most important principle about life. It remains particularly important when one grows up.

@xSugarplum You don't have to be so rude about it. Yes, it isn't very realistic but a person can dream. Relax.
