@Foreverguga1 u say that but there isn't a shot dimitrov can hit that wawrinka can't, wawrinka has a better forehand, backhand, serve, volley, more experience etc. maybe dimitrov has more potential and he's definitely better to watch but you can say the same about gasquet, it might not mean too much right now
Grigor Dimitrovfan, I can help you be #1 tennis player in the world in three years. I have super tennis secret weapon, if you get it, your dream will come true. I am 100% sure.
federer had achieved more at 19 years old than dimitrov..roger had already reached QF of wimbledon and french open. dimitrov has never even entered a main grand slam event yet...so im not sure what lungren is saying. i think peter is still bitter than federer has gone on to achieve such great success without him...well, thats life!!
@AlphaDraconis7 He may just be a late bloomer. It only takes a tournament or even a single match for a player to break through. Maybe a big win over a top 20 player.
@MrPURECONTROL age is not yet an argument because Fed needed more time to age and Nadal should be forced to retire much younger. But if Nadal can keep it up physically and he wins more Slams than Federer it will be crazy, but still then I would call Federer the best ever. Also gotta consider the match-up which is very unlucky for Federer. And his statistics are still way more impressive than that of Nadal's.
come to think of it, Lundgren's statement of Dimitrov having done more than Federer at the same age (18) is true!!
18 yr old Fed (year 2000) hadn't done anything memorable yet, except beat Ivanisevic. So there's a high possibility that Dimitrov will breakthrough sometime soon
Yeah, it's an amazing effort that he won wimbledon junior. But it doesn't say anything yet, roger won his first senior wimbledon title at the age of 21. When he was 19 he beat sampras, i mean that's a great achievement too. It would be nice if he would get to the top, but it's a very long way to go, especially with so many great players on the ATP tour atm.
What a sweetheart. I'd like to see him in the top 10. (:

People compare him to Federer...but he's a lot more like Wawrinka, maybe a bit more consistent overall though.

@hattrickster33
With all respect for Wawrinka but he's not nearly as talented as this guy or Roger Federer

@Foreverguga1 Yea he's only beaten Roger once.

is it me or does Peter Lundgren sound a wee bit bitter about roger dropping him?

@su79er How did you manage to detect bitterness in a five minute video where Lundgren only mentions him once?

That is so funny that Grigor has a one handed backhand in tennis yet was hitting two handers in ping pong. Usually it is the opposite!

still, federer had better results at the same age.
he was already top 50 und had reached 4th round at the french open.
would be really interesting to see federer vs dimitrov at wimbledon :)
