On the 2.5 engine my local hobby store guy said the 2.5 engine is two small for the truck. That might be the problem but Im not sure

these will only run on the special nitro blends usually 20 or 30% nitro. you can buy it from your LHS

i find that the T maxx 3.3 keeps cracking rear wheels an rounding off the centers, have you ever had this problem? the smaller 2.5 wheels dont do this on the 3.3 but you loose ground clearance an top speed.

Oh yeah I'm very disappointed with my new 4908 t-maxx. The new larger wheels and tires suck, they do crack and break, it also won't hold a tune worth a shit. I know it's the resonator pipe they are junk on the maxx and revo too. I even broke a split spoke wheel on my revo but it must have been a fluke....ALL of my maxx wheels are broke or cracked. Check out my revo video I use old 3.2 wheels from my 2000 t-maxx they make it wider and don't break.

nice one mate, them wheels look pretty good, i orded some T-maxx wheels (2 of) an they sent me those but i sent em back because of the size difference, will go buy a set of 4, will get some vids on of mine soon...cheers!

@mstreamer9991 I know this is an old post and no one will ever see this but yes. THe new max rims SUCK compare them to any other traxxas rim and you will see they all have renforcement except for this one. anyways replace them with any other maxx rim and you will be golden. also tuning i find is sometimes a pain and when ever it just wont run right i always go back to stock and try again

i do not have the imex pipe anymore, i use the traxxas resonator, where the exaust comes out about in the middle of the chassis plate. i had the same problem with this pipe about gettin the exaust all over the rear tire.
