  • what is this music?

  • I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • I hate hate hate her and Kondakova's pivots.

  • if you don't like their pivots, why do you continue to look at their videos???!!!???

  • @yago311 they are both amazing! Watch this space, one day this girl will be world champion

  • NOOOOOOOO !!! :@

  • @yago311 Why do you hate their pivots?

  • kind of remind me something of the graceful that kabaeva used to have....

  • She does not turn in complete releve, why???

  • Must be easy to do pivots without complete releve...I read that isn´t punished to do pivots like that....some people like it...other not

  • it's not "easier", it's rather a matter of personal technique and finding one's point of balance..

  • Of course it's easier- basic physics! The area in which you can have points of balance is much "larger" than when the pirouette is done on high relevé. You can even switch between multiple balance points within one pirouette, or much more points than a normal gymnast would do, hence you can permit yourself to turn much more than others. It's totally unfair that some gymnasts were allowed to do such pirouettes and others would get deductions for similar "technique". It's simply appalling!!

  • @huskytail: it IS appalling if different gymnasts are treated differently, of course. But I don't agree that it can be regarded as an "easier" way to rotate.

When I was in RG, for instance, I found it easier to do all the balances and pirouttes on FULL releve (it felt more stable to me) and I found a certain point, where I could balance for a long time. But some find their "center" in an incomplete releve. but as long as they execute the element in a clean way, I believe it should be counted.

  • If you don't believe me, then consider thiese 2 problems. 1. The others couldn't because the low relevé was a fault in execution (the element being generally counted). 2. No other Russians found their "personal" point in turning like this. Isn't it strange? For the hundreds of gymnasts Russia produced, only NOW, suddenly, a whole generation is founding its touring point on low relevé. It's a LEARNED technique because it allows you to turn more, especially in arabesque pivots.

  • @huskytail btw, the area doesn't necessarily become larger, the difference is the height your heel is on (measured from the floor), but you still rotate on your toes and the adjacent part of your foot sort of ;) try it on the floor, and you ll notice, that the area actually stays the same ;)

  • I should write an essay in order to explain how balance works and the transition from static position to moving pos. If you find the balance on a high relevé- the result is perfect. The point here is that it's much more difficult, much more work to do so. You need a very good muscle and position preparation. While when you are on a low relevé, you don't. There is a reason the low rel. was deduced as a fault. I assure you, I've done enough years of gymnastics and classical ballet.

  • Amazing! <3 What's the name song please!???

She's incredible! =D oO" Love it!
