i think ppl are forgetting that this was in the teaser trailer for tron: Legacy and it came out in like March or April or maybe before that and thats about the same time that inceptions trailer music was being used for its trailer. Inceptions trailer music probably came first but it has nothing to do with daft punks music. they didnt copy it. it sounds similar, yes. but it is different.

Inception?? Inception's brass motif is manipulated and distorted; it sounds almost like the tripods from war of the worlds... The recurring line in this piece is more true to the tone of the instrument.
