  • Hello, I tried to do this. Bought ferrofluid from ebay (movendo) and got some distilled water but because of the type of the ferrofluid, the liquid still sticks to the glass. Is there any type of ferrofluid that does not mix or water or stick on the glass? If so, which one should I get for distilled water mix?

  • ITS THE FIRST HOMUCULUS!!!

  • IS THAT A BONG ?

  • Nice Bonobo song in there, it would be sweet if something like that became like the 'lava lamp' of this era!

  • the viscosity is amazing (the strength of the liquid to hold itself together) but the magnetism is just as powerful this is in fact the FUTURE!

  • where do you get this stuff?

  • whatttttt song!

  • bonobo haha sweet tunes

  • And they said I couldn't possibly improve my snowglobe collection...

  • haha bong with black shit in it

  • you should put some sort of alternating current around it ....

    \

  • 0:32 you see the ayes

  • dwarf in the flask FMA

  • If i had that at work.. there'd be very little work done

  • breake it!!!!! xD :d

  • What is the liquid, an you be more specific? Is it simply windex?

  • @kreg92 I'm in the UK so originally I was using a brand called Windolene but it tends to go cloudy after a month. I tried a few other fluids and replaced it with Waitrose own brand; it doesn't hold the oil together as well but it's remained clear for over a year now.

Couldn't say which US cleaning fluid would work best, only way is test them with a few drops of ferrofluid in glass and see what happens. Good luck!

  • @theDutton would a 25ml bottle of ferrofluid be enough for a container of similar volume do you think? and also does the ferrofluid turn invisible when there is not magnet near it? it appeared to in your video.

  • @Jso003 The one in the video has just under 50ml of ferrofluid. And the reason you can't see the fluid all the time is down to refraction in the curved flask, the fluid is easier to see in straight sided vessels so I'd look for a 1 litre bottle with flat sides

  • @theDutton Use a bottle of vodka.

  • nice laptop webcam...

  • @GaKVaK You were able to focus on anything else besides the ferrofluid?

  • why in the water?? and not withot water

  • @123philimo because in "naked" glass ferro would leave black marks, water is used as a solvent of some sort

  • Haha sweet. Can you tell me what the name of that song is?

  • @joeshmo316 Kong, by Bonobo.

  • kewl
