depends what type you get but they can cost from a $160 AU for a decent soprano one but for a tenor it can cost upto $700 AU not too mention certain ones for over $1000 AU

umm, if you hold it upright... i keep the top dial all the way to the left, it makes a more blended sound. you can turn it to the right, which makes each string audible, but i avoid this. i keep the bottom dial, the volume dial very low, just enough to make it audible and use my volume dial on the amp to make it louder so as to preserve the sound. my recording device is excellent so that also helps. hope that was some sort of help :s?

Yeah, obviously the finger pattern is different because there are less strings but yeah, generally you can just use the same chords, ive only ever had to change 3 or 4.
