  • fucking nice house...

  • Awesome flying skills indeed.

  • You do love your lama, did some upgrades to it,mastered it... That's a great video

  • very nice heli;)

  • exelent

  • can i suck u off?

no wonder my heli is called a feral beast.

    it would never do that!!

its the worst quality ever! but i love it.

u can see my videos of it. the damn blades keep hitting each other!! apperently all i can do is lengthen the main shaft or shorten flybar. any other ideas plz?

  • Excellent video, and that one neat house you have :)

  • you have sweet dog:D

  • Keychain camera fpv would look nice.

  • when you turn left and right and foreward and back, what do the servos do?

ive had to configure twin engine nitros but this is confusing!

  • Impressinant

  • Killer video! Nice work!

  • this is juat a heli that i was looking for!!

  • is ur centre shaft longer than ordinary's?

  • Your AWSOME at this, You almoust landed on the candle at the end there :P

  • 1:55 almost hit the WALL

  • @atakan196 It was actually a lot further away than it looks.

  • @vega2614 oh okey and youre very nice pilot...

  • great pilot

  • How long will it fly for?

  • @biginthecity101 I have one and its about 7 minutes

  • im glad i got one for free! by the way, nice man cave

  • nice house :) lol

  • LAN room - 1:52 :)

this video video made me miss my lama v3 that was totally broken.

Nice video anyway, you have really taken time to trim it :D

  • very good choice of music:)

  • Best house tour video on youtube. EVER. awesome. enjoyed it very much good work.

  • brilliant

  • Nice you have a good control over your lama

  • WOW!!!!! how long have you been flying??

  • does the tail motor spin when you turn the helicopter

  • @sk8doodoo nope, its co-axial helicopter, it doesn't have a tail rotor, just 2 horizontal main rotors spinning in opposite directions

  • could someone help me, my lama loves to go forward lol a bit too much. And i have trimmed it to the max but still no success. Please if someone know what to do help me.

  • @finapa7 you've probable solved your problem, but in case you haven't - you need to shorten the snap. Take off the cabin, check which snap is moving for going forward and backwards, take it off the little globule (just like you're removing flybar snap), turn it clockwise as much as you need, put it on again - fixed :)

  • Ja kupiłem swojego w NitroTek. łatwo sie lata i szybko się można nauczyć podstaw.

Teraz czas na belta Cp v2.

  • jest dobry!

  • I wish i can fly like that :( Nice flying btw!

  • You are awsome driving that thing! just onee question how the "#¤%& did u record that? one hand driving?

  • @fillepille95 I have the camera duct-taped to a helmet on my head. It's actually pretty simple. The harder part is making sure the chopper is in view.

  • its just not the same without O.A.R

  • You Sir, are a fantastic pilot! And you have a lovely home too.................God bless!

  • haha, okey good job i did the sam thing while skiing:D

  • your first song,"the wanderer" was better

  • Yeah, I know. YouTube made me switch it out because of copyright infringement.

  • You are an excellent pilot.

  • Did you modify your lama? And is it possible to fly like that woithout modifikation? ^^

I still have problems because trimming is changing all the time. I can only fly wehen looks away from me -.-

    btw: awesome flying!

  • you are good at flying that i cant fly mine inside the house cuz it moves left to right all the time

  • Yeah, mine does too. You just need to get used to counteracting that drift.

  • thats because you didn't make the balancing setup correctly... there is a 30 min video of xheli at youtube which explains everything about 4ch helis (it was "falcon 40" tutorial I guess)...

  • @jormaparas Maybe it's not well regulated? Or the shaft is bent a little? I can fly around the house with mine, but not a chance with my friend's one. Of course you can never make it hang still in one point, but well regulated it shouldn't take much effort to keep it more or less in the same place.

  • @jormaparas okay so it doesent move like slowly its like umm....VRUUUM! -smack- and its on wall and im again like "wtf -_-"

  • Eres un profesional,me encanto el video y el viaje por tu casa, maravilloso piloto

  • Oh and btw, what kind of camera did you use here? Like fixed on a hat?

  • Awesome music, awesome flying, and awesome house dude! Especially love the bar in the basement!

I'm flying the Lama v4 myself. Also got a Trex 450 pro, but I cant fly that inside my house unfortunately :)

  • nice flying, and good camera this is some off the best lama v3 videos i have seen=) i have a lama v3 just like this =).

  • i bough one of these the other day need to get the hang of it

  • Hi i jus wan2 noe if upgrading the will improve the performance? if so can u specify how does it improves its performance?

  • WOW The best Lama V3 Video !!EVER!! you can verry goooog fly

    WOW

  • Thanks everyone for your nice comments. What's funny is I thought people would find this video boring. My friends thought it was, but maybe because they've seen me fly around a lot and have toured my house before. Too bad stupid YouTube removed the sound...

  • NICE!!!!!!!

  • dude, you rock!

  • awsome video can you please tell me where did you buy the v3 lama from and its price, because you covinced me easily to buy one

  • dude, awesome video. Thanks for sharing this, your video and posts convinced me to buy the coco lama 3, transmitter, crash kit, flight sim, and also a cameye. Can't believe I got all that for under $200. I'm new to RC, but know a little about computers and am going to see if I can hack the flight sim controller software and wire the 2.4GHZ transmitter to my home network so that I can fly my helicopter over the web kind of like rolling the WowWee Rovio around. That would be so win

  • That would be seriously awesome, but very difficult. I'd get used to flying it in the same room before you even attempt it networked option.

  • Coaxial or not, that's the best control I've seen in a very long time. Well done.

  • what is the song

  • wicked video mate! When Ive had a bit more practice on my r22.. ill make one round my house . . .

  • pro

  • wow u rock at flying bt wt would u recommend for a beginner v3 or v4?

  • Sorry about taking so long to reply. This was my first heli to fly, and I crashed (and broke parts) a lot starting out. It's way easier to fly than collective pitch choppers though. If you're really concerned, I'd recommend getting an Air Hogs Havoc Heli. They are practically invulnerable and teach you the basics of throttle control. I've never flown the V4, but I'm guessing it flies similarly to the V3.

  • Man, you rock at flying that heli :D

    One question.

I have a E-Sky Lama 2 ( well, that's what the box says ) and i think it is quite hard to fly :S

Is the V3 or even the V4 much easyer to fly?

    Thanks :)

  • Ohh, now I see.

In the V2 there is no gyro, but there is in the V3 and V4.

    Thanks anyway :)

  • V3 and V4 is almost the same and V3 is a bit better than the v2 but i thingk only the 4-in-1 is different, so try to put a 4-in1 from the v3 in the v2 :)

  • Nice flying. Is that a stock Lama, or is it modified?

  • Now I'm faced with a dilemma: replace the audio (which currently doesn't play) with some crap soundtrack YouTube has available, or wait and blindlessly hope YouTube reverses its decision to remove the audio from this vid. Once I do audioswap, the original audio is gone forever...

  • this is a disgrace YOUTUBE is being destroyed by this music removal crap.

  • youtube you stink i like this song and because of this vid i went out and got the album.o.a.r owe him thanks

  • Yeah, YouTube is selling out. Pathetic. O.A.R. just lost at least a few sales.

  • how much is one of these? and are they any better than those Styrofoam ones, you know the picco z which is a waste of money. these however i see greatly flies and stable but they run on what? batteries of the controller (i.e charger attached from the controller)? self batteries? charger that can has electric plugs? pls I planning to buy one.

  • your quality at flying in a tight space i did get the same copter for christmas but it wasnt working at all so i swaped it for a feralbeast ah 64 apache copter which is 4 ch but that was bugered to so i swaped again and now there the funnest thing ever

  • im geting the same one but how long and tall and wide is it also how much can it lif and how easy it it to fly. im asking this bc im puting a cam on mine

  • guys, please help me.

i made a crash with my lama v3 and broke 3 blades since then it did not really take of anymore because it was spinning really fast.

    wat should i do??

  • Whow, your'e a good pilot :D Just one question... Do you know what the reverse settings should be on the remote control? My settings now is: AIL>rev, ELE>rev, THR>nor, RUD>nor. My settings feels good, but it's not smart to fly with wrong settings =)

And one more question.. The part that holds the stabilizer at the top of the inner shaft has been broken 2 times here.. Do you think it's smart to buy an aluminium version of this? Is that MUCH better than the plastic version or just a little?

  • Get the aluminum shaft. Once you do, you'll NEVER have to worry about the inner shaft again. Definitely worth it. E-Sky should have the Lama come stock with it.

About the Tx settings, if they're reversed, you'd know. Basically, the chopper would do the opposite you tell it (ie you go stick left and the chopper goes right).

  • Nice control-especially through stairwell and doorways! I love my Lama also. Are you using a head mounted camera?

  • Just a camera duct-taped to a bike helmet, on my head.

  • I'm impressed! How long did it take for the furniture(and dog) to be safe?

    LOL!

  • A couple of days, although I did once clip my dog's face when I was revving up the engines preparing for take-off and she ran up to it to get it. Luckily, the blades were on loose and still going pretty slow. I cut the throttle when I saw her approach. No damage to dog or chopper ;). That's key, cut engines when you get close to something.

  • nice house...and the flight wasn't bad, too

  • my helicopter crash like landing crash it blows

WARNING:NOT FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS .OLD

  • Nope. Not for most people. It takes some getting used to. After that, it's "Easy Control. Happy Flying!"

  • I currently have a DoubleHorse 9081. Looks similar to the V3, but has a tail rotor for forward and reverse. NOT very controlable.

Certainly not even close to the way you are flying the V3.

  • Thanks for the advice! I now have a V3 and have gotten fairly good at flying it(also pretty good at replacing everything on it! Learning curve, you know! :D ) I've found you should use the Robins 22 skids,Xtreme tail boom and a Super Shaft 2.0 Inner shaft with a metal head. The metal swashplate is a good investment also. I got my shaft at helitek and the rest at Vonmart/ebay. I gave up totally on the 9081. It was a three ch. For full control, four channels are a must.

    Thanks again! :D

  • About the top speed...

I'd say, fly it outside, as high as possible. Then cut the throttle and let E = m*g*h do its work :p

  • I tried to fly the helicopter, but it did anything. in the cabine flashed the red light. do you know what i have to do?

  • You're nice flyer. Two days ago, I get the same lama v3 from my father. i will go today outside to try flying. how long were you training before you learned how to fly?

    Sorry for my english.

  • you'r damn good flyer.I bought this same Lama v3.How long you have trained to fly ?Cause' little difficult,is it ? I try to fly in the big hall, and i crashed trough to wall ! x) luckily it didn't broke much.I need to train outside first. But good flying, good flying man !! :D

  • lol, landed on the plane, im thinking about buying this heli for 50 dollars, is it worth it. I have a 6ch walkera 22e (which i finally learned to fly, but am still not good with it, how does this fly, how stable is it, thnx -Randall-

  • Where can you get it for $50? I'd be in for a new one at that price! Mine lasted well for about a year, and now it doesn't have enough thrust to take off. I flew it a lot though, so I'm pleased with its shelf-life. I highly recommend getting one if you're at all interested. It's great for indoor flying during the winter, while the 22e is in the hangar ;).

  • im getting it for 35 euro hehe

  • Not enough thrust to take off? Motor is worn out, more than likely.

  • A new motor, for that model heli, costs about 5 bucks.

  • Where for $5 with shipping included? I think I'm looking at at least $16 for two motors.

  • i got that helicpter but it crash like crash landing

  • Superklasse !! Ich sehe dass ich noch viel zu lernen habe mit dem Lama V3. Wobei ich finde, dass der Lama 5 einfacher zu fliegen ist.

  • te exedes yo tengo uno igual pero no se volarlo tan bién como tu, felicidades

  • how did u get to fly over stairs

  • It's the same as flying over any other surface. You just have to be inputting more because there's more turbulence when near walls. Also, it helps to make sure you don't go tumbling down the stairs yourself ;).

  • Very good flying! You fly better than 90% of guys with 6CH helicopters. I wish I could fly my lama V3 that well.

  • With practice, you will. Man, I wish my Lama still worked so I could make some more vids.

  • I hope so ;-) Right now I'm waiting for outer shaft and gear replacement parts to arrive - I accidentally dropped the controller and lama crashed with throttle on full. Both gears lost all their teeth. What happened to yours?

  • Holy, your hella good :) i was wondering how much the lama differs from the EF MASH heli. It seems i have to yank the controls for left to right movement for it to make any effect same with yours?? And the damn thing always drifts left even when i moved the trim all the way to the right

  • woo awesome control dude. you've got nice finger tips! * wink lol!

  • The BEST!!! Dam nice control

  • It needed some adjustment on the proportional pot (for yaw), because trimming with the Tx didn't yield perfect trim. It is pretty stable, but requires a bit of practice to make it look as stable as in the video.

  • EDIT: sorry for not reading the description. apart from the shaft, how was it? (factory settings)

  • is the lamav3 really that stable? or do you need to do any major adjustments to it?

    thanks!

  • You got a neat looking home and your flight skills are amazing!

    O.

  • ok, just have to comment! First, the music was perfect. It was almost like the little helicopter had it's own personality and was just playfully running around. Very charming video, really!

  • should i get this or the esky dauphin! plz reply

  • that was some sick flying, man i've never seen a co-axil manuver like that

  • LOVE THIS TUNE,DUDE YOU ROCK

  • LOL NICE DOG

  • thats the best lama flying ive ever seen! great job!

  • can u tell me thjs song name,

  • dude the best lama flight i have ever seen, this vid and one other made me buy one,im a rookie with dreams of this level of skill, how did you get it so stabe.look uo dayshaddow an c my first few flights

  • Nice crib man!

  • nice flying, im getting my own one soon, its ordered, expecting it any day now by mail, could u give some more info's on setting it up or good tips/hints to fly it? i currently have a 2 channel silverlit gyrotor but i expect the lama to be something totally different to fly with and to be honest im a little worried, dont wanna break it the first flight (obviously!) :)

you can always contact me over msn if u like, just send me a private msg and ill give u my msn adress

    grtz Thomas (from Belgium)

  • Just read through this vids thread for various tips. Settings vary from Lama to Lama.

You WILL break it, so don't worry about it. Maybe not the first flight since you'll probably be bunny-hopping around, but you're bound to make a mistake eventually. I certainly did. Besides, you won't get better if you don't try stuff that might break it. I suggest you pick up the aluminum inner shaft and some spare blades.

  • I just bought a E-sky Dauphin...its the same as the lama isnt it just a different fusalage?

  • I think you are using pretty good.

  • there wont be a reduction to its quality, its a very good choper, the batteries have to b changed, they lose quality if u dont use them often, also u mustnt play with the heli until it ndies off batteries,u must recharge it when batteries 80% is spent..also u can find servos and other ieces to change in every modeling store..

  • Nice vid. how long do you have your lama v3? Because i want to buy one but i doubt about its quality. Can it fly without any problem(except you crash it) at least 6 months?

  • It depends on how much you fly it. Excluding crashes, mine lasted about 9 months before a decrease in quality. I flew it about an hour per week over that entire time span.

It's a pretty good deal considering how well built it is.

  • lol at the dog

  • My wife let me buy the Lama because I let her buy that dog.

  • ROFL

  • Now that I have had alittle practice I admire your skills even more. The throttle control is a pain for me, when I lower the throttle just alittle it wants to drop like a rock and it's hard to recover. Did the upgrade to the medal head help with the throttle?

  • Thanks! The metal head doesn't change the flight behavior (at least I didn't notice any change). All it does is not break when you crash, unlike the stock inner shaft head.

You just have to get used to throttle control. It takes a little while. Also, there's always a chance that your motors or battery are weak, but try and get used to to flying the Lama before you make that conclusion. My Lama was always pretty weakly powered compared to a friend's Walkera 5#8. His had more kick to it.

  • Thanks for the advise. I definetly need more time at the controls. But I am getting only about 4 mins flying time so I am not sure its entirely me. I just bought another one. A V4 (samething has v3) with 4 batteries, one upto 1000 mah. So if this doesn't help I will just have to admit "I SUCK!!" :)

  • Are there instructions somewhere to upgrade the Alloy head? I just got the upgrade but I am too afraid to try without some sort of instruction.

  • Just google it; you'll find some info. It might even be explained earlier in this message board.

  • Can you hang something from it like a small water balloon? or will it make it go slower and make it more harder to fly?

  • A water balloon would be way too heavy, unless it was pretty small. I saw a significant loss in climbing power while hauling a 9V battery underneath. The Lama does handle a 30g FlyCamOne with minimal problems.

  • oo k thanks alot.

  • how match it costs to you

  • befiutal house, pls name of song

  • Thanks. Song title is in the description: "O.A.R.-The Wanderer."

  • Do you have to put weight in the front in order to get forward motin. Is it capable to move in any direction?

  • The Lama has a working swashplate, meaning you can go in any direction with controller input.

  • I am having a little bit of trouble findding one at some hobby shops. I would like one that is brand new do you know where i can get one. Thanks

  • I'm confused. Do you need a new Lama or swashplate? The Lama comes with a swashplate. You don't need to purchase anything else, unless you got it used and incomplete.

  • i meant a heli

  • absolutley awsome =)

  • love the housee i have a bigger house!!

  • man you are awesome!!! wish i could fly my heli like that.. do you teach?? hahaha

  • I wish people were willing to pay me for lessons. Then my wife wouldn't give me such a hard time about buying RC stuff :).

  • If the blades goes into the wall does it brake? ur quite close on the way out and if it brakes where can u get parts and is it expensive? thinking about buying myself one

  • no not that expensive good for novice and advanced flyers and the props dont break as they fold either way but incase u did break em it comes with a spare set dunno where to get parts but they are available.nice vid and great control

  • That, Vega, is some of the best indoor flight I have ever seen. I just ordered a Lama V3 on ebay then after went to see some video of it and found this. It will be a long time before I could do anything like that. Truely incredible piloting.

  • whts the difference between lama v3 and v4?

  • Read earlier posts. I talk about it.

  • Nice work.

The piloting that is, the music sucked :-)

  • I guess that's better than the opposite. Most people seem to like the music.

  • Nice flying.

I just bought a V3 and I'm still learning to fly it properly.

  • me to:D

  • cool vid, sorry for more questions, is this a real R/C or another infared?

  • Real R/C. Older versions come with a 72 MHz transmitter. The newer version comes with a 2.4 GHz Tx.

  • cool thanks

  • You fly dam well!!

  • Cool video...

  • Can you make it stay still in the air, like not flyeing forward or backward?

  • Yes, I do in the video a couple times for a short duration. Hovering is kind of boring though.

  • yes , its 4 channel not 2 channel like a picooZ

  • other than the tool that comes with it, what other tools would be good to get for upgrades? and what song is this?

  • it looks kind of fragile

  • It is fragile, but far more durable than it appears. Once you get the aluminum inner shaft, most breaks don't impede chopper flight. Usually the breaks are aesthetic, like breaking the thin plastic of the tail boom.

  • What is amuminum inner shaft?

  • It looks really precise, is it easy to fly? and how long can you fly before you have to recharge?

  • Not at first, but after some practice. 6-10 minutes depending on age of battery and aggressiveness of flying. 1 h charge time.

  • Exelent nice vid, house, heli and flying!

  • Nice flying and nice house. That little space above your stereo downstairs is just begging for a flat panel TV.

My Lama will be here ANY day now, I've been tracking it from Hong Kong on an hourly basis almost and it just passed US customs!

  • Haha, yeah. We have a flat panel upstairs now, but money's too tight to get another one for the basement.

You'll have fun with the Lama. I remember the intense anticipation when it was on its way. When I first flew it, it turned to frustration because it was crashing a lot. I thought there was something wrong with mine, but it was just because I wasn't a very good pilot. I got better.
