  • I hear diotamacious earth get slugs away too. Plus it's basically just dirt! I've heard those blue berry bushes grow huge blueberries. I'll probably get some too eventually ;) and wow you could grow potatoes in that raised bed!

  • Very nice! If you want to avoid slugs and snails it would be a good move to put copper around the base of the structure. Costly, but worth it in the long run.

    The instant I read your comment, I knew you were right. Once snails and slugs get started in a bed, it's impossible to get them out. Copper strips at the beginning are as important as the gopher mesh.."An ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure." If you pop back in, in a couple weeks, I should have a follow-up video to see the bed later in time. : ) Bri.
