The camera is 120-130 feet from basketball hoop. You wouldn't necessarily have a time delay under favorable conditions. The fact that you hear the sound of the basketball hitting the backboard immediately is most likely due to the increased velocity at which the ball is thrown or the material used in construction of the backboard. Its real, its my backyard =). Watch an NBA game. The pan cameras are about 100 feet away and you still hear the ball hit net instantly. Unless your cable sucks.
