were you using a vst for your guitar is reaper? I use a profire 2626 and mic my amp and also use reaper. You guitar sounds so awesome compared to what I get from my mic'd amp. Is it better just to plug the gutar straight into the computer/sound card and not use a mic'd amp? My amp sounds great live though.
If you can use decent volume with the amp I'd mic it. Try experimenting with different mic positions, makes a huge diference. For this song I recorded the signal from my amp's FX loop and added cabinet simulation in Reaper.
I've always loved this bonamassa song. Excellent rendition you did here. I think it would be great if you did some slide on the electric guitar for this one.
Another excellent job my friend. I love this song. You may or may not remember me. Mark in Atlanta,Ga. Dropped out of YouTube land for a bit. I'm back though. I'm close to getting my Zoom Q3HD and I'll start posting. I did one with my webcam and it sucked bad. I'll get in the game soon though. Do you still use your Zoom for recording? Great job with this video....Very inventive.
Hi Mark, good to hear from you again! The audio was recorded straight to Reaper and for video I just used my phone, Samsung Galaxy S II. I still use Zoom, especially when recording live shows.

Yes, it's in standard tuning. Or standard baritone/7-string tuning, that is. :)
