After further reading of the ongoing discussion, i have come to the theory that perhaps Typhoon's faulty arguments stem from his assumption that everyone shares his opinion on homosexuality, which obviously isn't the case. Typhoon assumes that Michael C. Hall's ability to be intimate with another male requires a disregard of his self-respect or pride. Same here, I'm a straight female and though the idea of hooking up with another woman is extremely unappealing to me as an individual, I would certainly do it if it was part of an interesting character or storyline. So if he's comfortable playing a gay man, it only demonstrates his strength as an actor and comfort with his own sexuality.
