God, Dave & Dave were MORONS!!! They were gifted Studio musicians working for other people. They are the quenticential ONE HIT WONDERS who produced a steller LP and then broke up---kinda sorta like THE LAs!!! I find that SO INFURIATING. To all of those that can't seem to find the CD...the lovers of this Lp/CD...I can provide it...no LEA, of course!! The comments I've read reflect so much of my own feelings...I actually had one of the first pressings, but it was nicked by an old room-mate...paid $100 on ebay for a chicked case, but it was worth it...I don't advocate piracy or unlawfull sharing, but sometimes the music HAS to get out

This album deals with domestic violence and alcohol abuse from the perspective of one who has been there and lived it. Very thought provoking and well done. Still have this on the original vinyl and listen to it quite often.

Nobody has mentioned that Toni Childs makes the second voice in the last part of the song.

Toni Childs has a great voice, fits very well on this song. She has participated in other projects with Peter Gabriel too.

I agree with many of you who say this is one highly underappreciated album. It's fantastic. "Ain't So Easy," in my opinion, is not only one of the best songs to come out of the 80's, but one of the best ever. I've listened to it thousands of times...and never, ever get tired of it.

Agree, Boomtown has to be one of the best records ever made because of this song and "Swallowed by the cracks." "A Rock For the Forgotten." All of them songs that have stayed with me through the years and are likely never to vanish from my mind.
