I cant believe that Bioware had the fucking audacity to make the Staff of Parthalan the mages weapon. (noting against mages I love mages they are among the best) but that is absolutely and inexcusably absurd. That is a warriors weapon. We all know it. Bioware get your shit together or Im out.

1. Rogues are not supposed to be ninjas. They are NOT supposed to freaking teleport or do acrobatics all the time or freaking fly. They are supposed to be assassins, bypassing what they do not need, slowly going after their target, hitting critical spots and so on.
2. Mage: Poof *spins around* poof, *kneels*, POOF, *stands up in power rangers pose* Poof.
3. The game has freaking leaked not to mention there's a lot more of midgame shown already.

I can't agree with the new battle system 100%(which was my reason for playing the demo) but it makes it faster which is what i wanted and alittle badass, the rogues are just way better now, but when i think about it i don't know, the battle system ruins the game in a small way but also makes it better.
Mages i think i hate, i played a mage in the last game as my first play through, but i don't think i'll touch a mage this time around, i think there auto attack is retarded.
@SleepingDragon1st with you on the mage thoght they really are good now in Da2 i try them out in the demo and they can do so much more then the first one.
@yasheem15 Oh ye, they're better no question, i just can't kick that ranged auto attack, it's sort of silly the way he unnecessarily swings it round his back. I just hate stuff added that doesn't need to be there.
As for the mages auto attack at close quaters though it's cool, the way he changes and fights with it upclose with fire coming from the tip, now that's cool, there they have no unnecessary staff going over back and into the ground crap.

I loved dragon age becuse of its storyline. Sure the combat was slow but it didnt bother me. Now ive heard that the story has been.. less important and more about the combat, but i havent plyaed it yet so what do I know

@emzluli yeah about that. Did anyone get the feeling it was sorta like playing one of the japanese rpg? Combat was faster by it looks like something out of ninety-nights. But, I'm satisfied. Still reminded me of jade empire though with the button mashing. Only difference is, if you look closely enough, you can still see the dice rolling behind the scenes.

@LordTrayus I can't call it new since it looks and plays like any hack and slash from the last four or five years and is as linear as an jrpg from the last ten and has the conversation wheel from Mass Effect. Nothing about it really feels new or different to me. It seems like they went backwards more than anything. The combat movement was great especially those random finishing moves and their armor and weapons were realistic too. Well,that's your opinion but personally I don't see Skyrim winning GOTY because as far as I know it's going to be similar to it's predecessors oblivion and Morrowind with probably an improved gameplay and graphics but with respect to a solid story,characters and consequences of choice it's always going to lose out to Dragon Age2,and this what gets you GOTY unless Skyrim's gameplay is radically changed and groundbreaking.
Skyrim will sell more copies than DA2 but I doubt it will receive the same amount of critical acclaim of a Bioware game.Also comparing Dragon Age to the Fable series is BLASPHEMY!!! There's no way any game could suck that bad!

Why are people so jammed up about the combat looking more embellished? Are people aware that this is not Dragon Age: Origins 2? The game is not even about a blight. It's a completely new game, told in a completely different way: in the form of a story. The storyteller happens to like embellishing his stories (at least until he is called out by the other present-time character), so you often see combat like this.
It's a different game. Try to expand your horizons a bit.
This game was going to be so great I was going to call in sick to play it all day and night and I was going to name my firstborn son after Hawke and I was going to tattoo the Bioware logo on my forehead so I could show my love for them to all the world.
But then I found out you could get pre order DLCs like Isaac Clarke's suit from Dead Space 2 as armor, so I canceled my pre-order and took Ray Muzyka out of my will because now it's completely ruined forever.

I can't agree with the new battle system 100%(which was my reason for playing the demo) but it makes it faster which is what i wanted and alittle badass, the rogues are just way better now, but when i think about it i don't know, the battle system ruins the game in a small way but also makes it better.
Mages i think i hate, i played a mage in the last game as my first play through, but i don't think i'll touch a mage this time around, i think there auto attack is retarded.

@yasheem15 Oh ye, they're better no question, i just can't kick that ranged auto attack, it's sort of silly the way he unnecessarily swings it round his back. I just hate stuff added that doesn't need to be there.
As for the mages auto attack at close quaters though it's cool, the way he changes and fights with it upclose with fire coming from the tip, now that's cool, there they have no unnecessary staff going over back and into the ground crap.

I loved dragon age becuse of its storyline. Sure the combat was slow but it didnt bother me. Now ive heard that the story has been.. less important and more about the combat, but i havent plyaed it yet so what do I know

Yes, i loved the first dragon age for its graphic realism!!
:S the only bad thing now is they have make it way too more cartoony...
The darkspawn for example dont even look half as good as the old ones, not to mention the amour, and wepons thats the only real fault i can see about this one however hope it will be just as enjoyable to play :')

DRAGON AGE 2 CALL TO ARMS!
The demo for Dragon Age 2 is out on Feb 22nd for the PS3, 360 and PC.
Upon completion of the demo you will unlock Hayden’s Razor for use in DA2, a ancient dawarven blade that increases health, mana and skills.
But that's not all, If the demo achieves 100,000 downloads before the 1st of march bioware will include two items for all to use that will increase the ammount of money and experience earned in the main game.

@emzluli yeah about that. Did anyone get the feeling it was sorta like playing one of the japanese rpg? Combat was faster by it looks like something out of ninety-nights. But, I'm satisfied. Still reminded me of jade empire though with the button mashing. Only difference is, if you look closely enough, you can still see the dice rolling behind the scenes.

@LordTrayus Exactly my thoughts. I told my friend it was, "Final Fantastic." Seriously, I remember pre-ordering Dragon Age 2, not Final Fantasy XVII or whatever. I want to be excited about this game, but after the demo, I fear this will be the first time Bioware has let me down.

@LordTrayus I can't call it new since it looks and plays like any hack and slash from the last four or five years and is as linear as an jrpg from the last ten and has the conversation wheel from Mass Effect. Nothing about it really feels new or different to me. It seems like they went backwards more than anything. Granted, this is just the demo but I can't say it left me with a good feeling about the game.

@LordTrayus i know !! quite disappointing. I mean dragon age had such a realist feel to it,like it wasnt exaggerated, the only fantasy thing about it wer the dragons and races. The combat movement was great especially those random finishing moves and their armor and weapons were realistic too. It was reminded me of england in the past :P Thats y i loved it and of course the fantastic story!!! oh well ;(

i'm sure the story will be amazing, it's a bioware game, how could it not be?

Ignore the trolls.Dragon Age2 is Game Of the Year Material and according the first review that's out by PC Gamer,it's editor's choice and supposed to be even better than it's predecessor which got a 94/100. You'd have to be seriously insane to choose a crappy ultra nationalistic first person shooter over Dragon Age2.

Well,that's your opinion but personally I don't see Skyrim winning GOTY because as far as I know it's going to be similar to it's predecessors oblivion and Morrowind with probably an improved gameplay and graphics but with respect to a solid story,characters and consequences of choice it's always going to lose out to Dragon Age2,and this what gets you GOTY unless Skyrim's gameplay is radically changed and groundbreaking.

Skyrim will sell more copies than DA2 but I doubt it will receive the same amount of critical acclaim of a Bioware game.Also comparing Dragon Age to the Fable series is BLASPHEMY!!! There's no way any game could suck that bad!

@p0p80 i can say i think the both r strong runners for it, i love both. i mean yeah eldar scrolls had epic story and great/godly graphics. but they one thing it always lacked it immersion and dragon age had that like a blanket ovr your head in a horror film, it kicks ass on that level. and the story is great and the graphics r meant to not be fully realistic, its styalized for a reason. but they both beat the hell out of all the other games, well brink is gonna b rite there with these two

Why are people so jammed up about the combat looking more embellished? Are people aware that this is not Dragon Age: Origins 2? The game is not even about a blight. It's a completely new game, told in a completely different way: in the form of a story. The storyteller happens to like embellishing his stories (at least until he is called out by the other present-time character), so you often see combat like this.
It's a different game. Try to expand your horizons a bit.

This game was going to be so great I was going to call in sick to play it all day and night and I was going to name my firstborn son after Hawke and I was going to tattoo the Bioware logo on my forehead so I could show my love for them to all the world.
But then I found out you could get pre order DLCs like Isaac Clarke's suit from Dead Space 2 as armor, so I canceled my pre-order and took Ray Muzyka out of my will because now it's completely ruined forever.
I will never love again.
